Beable is currently seeking a Professional Development Consultant who is as passionate as we are about re-imagining literacy instruction. As Professional Development (PD) Consultant, you will use your passion for providing the best teacher professional development to deliver online and onsite professional learning sessions. Beable offers 2 product pathways for Professional Development delivery: literacy and ACT/SAT test preparation. You may be assigned to 1 or more product tracks based on your background, availability, and interest. This is a part-time remote employee position for individuals who are interested in variable work schedules throughout the school year and are excited about traveling to schools within an assigned territory. PD Consultants are paid on an hourly basis and are scheduled on an as-needed basis throughout the school year, with peak periods at the beginning of the school year (August – early October) and mid-school year (January – March). PD Consultants are expected to monitor email daily, respond promptly, and attend bi-weekly meetings to ensure product and process awareness. Join Beable’s rapidly growing implementation practice. We have immediate hiring needs for PD Consultants based in Northern New Jersey (Newark, Jersey City, etc.) and Central Valley or Outer East Bay region of California (Stockton, Sacramento, Antioch, etc.)! Primary responsibilities - Conduct online and onsite professional development sessions with school administrators and teachers - Provide onsite coaching and lesson modeling for teachers to support their Beable implementations - Communicate customer feedback and outcomes from professional learning sessions to Customer Success team Job requirements and qualifications - Experience in K12 education - 5+ years professional development experience - Proven track record of working in a customer facing role - Experience working with, and managing, stakeholders and customers - Experience in teaching ACT and SAT prep or training on a test prep product preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a “can do” attitude - Ability to dedicate 20 hours per week within the first 4 weeks of employment to complete required training and product certification - Flexibility to work as-needed through the school year during work hours (8am to 5pm), with a minimum expectation of service delivery 1 day per week - Ability to travel within assigned region with overnight stays - Huge plus if you are bilingual in English/Spanish with proven experience delivering training in both languages WHY WORK AT BEABLE?
