Primary Responsibilities: - Support Surest plan design development, including setting copays, updating the Surest actuarial model, and reviewing service category benefit assignments - Partner closely with the Plan Design and Surest Benefit Strategy teams to ensure client and Sales needs are met - Support and complete regulatory testing activities - Support other analyses and investigations as needed - Provide explanations and interpretations within areas of expertise - Developing standard processes for new work, as Surest continues to grow You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field - Actively pursuing actuarial exam track having attempted at least two SOA actuarial exams - 2+ years of actuarial or health plan data analysis experience - Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and in particular financial charts and graphs) - Proven ability to present project updates, analyses, and recommendations to internal stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: - Experience performing health plan (self-insured or fully insured) forecasting and analysis - Solid understanding of health care benefit designs (e.g., PPOs, HDHPs) and product types (ASO, FI, etc.) - Proficiency with VBA, SQL and / or Python - Familiarity with Databricks and claims data *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Role Description The Athena Systems & Enrollment Analyst is a critical role responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts and inconsistencies across revenue cycle management (RCM) and provider credentialing and enrollment processes.
