Role Description You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. - Monitor individual systems and metrics to ensure performance and availability, perform trend analysis and generate reports. - Configure and maintain threshold alerts, triggers, and remediation workflows across assigned platform. - Write automation code based on existing designs to support routine operational tasks. - Support heterogeneous environments including virtualized, on-prem and cloud platforms. - Demonstrate foundational understanding of core infrastructure areas (networking, storage, compute) and basic PaaS capabilities (e.g., containers, workload schedulers). - Document technical steps, procedures, and solutions to support consistent operation. - Assist in designing and documenting technical solutions required to support business systems. - Practice and apply DevOps tools and concepts, including observability metrics and SLO enablement. - Participate in troubleshooting medium-priority incidents and service requests. - Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in CS or IT related field. - 6+ months of foundational experience developing proficiency in infrastructure technologies, including networking, computers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platform. - 6+ months of hands-on scripting experience with basic automation scripts using established patterns. - 6+ months of experience with source control, continuous integration, and core programming/coding concepts. - 6+ months of experience with security standards and the ability to adhere to compliance protocols and organizational policies. - 6+ months of experience identifying security risks and contributing to remediation efforts based on applied experience. - 6+ months of experience collecting data, validating issues, eliminating variables, and confirming resolutions. - 6+ months of experience understanding quality control guidelines and identifying/reporting quality-impacting issues. Requirements - Demonstrated ability over 6–12 months to follow procedures, manage assigned tasks within defined timeframes, and maintain accountability. - Shows a strong willingness—built through 6 months to 1 year of practical exposure—to learn new tools, technologies, and service areas to support a growing operational environment.
