Senior Engineer – Cloud Platforms, Virtualization
Aptiv
• Develop software for a complete cloud infrastructure software stack. • Develop high quality designs and code based on Kubernetes, containerized applications, distributed cloud systems, and cloud infrastructure management. • Work as part of a team focused on containerization and fault tolerant/carrier grade development . • Work with the most dynamic and exciting open-source software projects today – Kubernetes, OpenStack, KubeVirt , Helm, Ansible, Puppet, OSTree . • Develop and deliver platform upgrade features with high quality design and code . • Stay current with the latest advancements in OpenStack and related core. technologies, incorporating them into the platform where appropriate . • Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Computer Science or related field .
- Deep Understanding of Virtualization technologies such as Openstack architecture and component, including Nova, Neutro
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with Bachelor’s
- 3+ years of professional experience in developing infrastructure software for highly scalable and distributed systems, working with Kubernetes and Helm charts
- Solid understanding of working and architecture of Virtualization technologies such as OpenStack (including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc), VMware vCenter, Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift
- 2+ years of programming experience with C/C++ and Python
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems .
