QA Analyst (Art Tools & Engineering)
TestronicA unique outsource partner providing award-winning development services to the video games industry.
What You Will Do Embedded within the UGT Pod, you will play a key role in validating the visual, technical, and performance aspects of the game’s asset pipeline and rendering systems. You will ensure that the tools, shaders, and art integration systems deliver exceptional performance and stability across all supported platforms. Feature QA • Execute manual and exploratory testing across all art and rendering features, validating functionality, visual quality, and performance. • Conduct integration, regression, and pipeline validation to ensure assets are processed, imported, and rendered correctly in-engine. • Document, prioritize, and track issues in JIRA, providing clear, actionable feedback to both Tech Art and Engineering teams. • Maintain detailed, version-controlled test cases and test plans for all art pipeline tools and rendering systems. Art Tools & Engineering • Asset Pipeline & Tool Validation: Test and validate Asset Bundle pipelines and the Asset Importer Tool across multiple asset types (FBX, textures, prefabs), ensuring proper packaging, dependency handling, folder structure, and preset configuration for consistent integration and runtime loading. • Rendering & Shader Systems: Validate Custom Renderer configurations, LOD setups, and shader assignments to confirm alignment with Tech Art guidelines and expected in-game visual fidelity. • Lighting & Scene Quality: Execute targeted tests for lighting systems, confirming accurate illumination, shadow rendering, and lightmap baking behaviour across multiple platforms and device types. • Performance & Optimization: Perform mobile performance profiling and stress testing to ensure rendering efficiency, thermal stability, and optimized asset performance on mobile hardware. • Prefab Integration & Data Consistency: Validate client prefab generation and update workflows to ensure assets instantiate correctly, maintain material links, and preserve metadata integrity throughout the pipeline. • Configuration & Preset Validation: Confirm that TierConfig, QualityLodMatcher, and Integration Scriptable Objects apply the correct presets and parameters to models, textures, and prefabs within each tier. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Artists, Engineers, and Designers to align test coverage with art and tool development goals, ensuring efficient communication and rapid resolution of visual and technical issues. • Quality Advocacy: Champion visual quality and technical excellence, providing structured feedback on lighting fidelity, rendering performance, and asset integration polish, while identifying opportunities for optimization and improved tool usability.

Senior Data Engineering Manager
UpstartOur mission is to enable effortless credit based on true risk.
• Set and execute the technical strategy aligned to measurable north star metrics such as increasing data evaluation velocity and reducing time to production for high-value data sources. • Establish clear end-to-end ownership across the third-party and internal data lifecycle, eliminating fragmented workflows and implicit accountability. • Accelerate third-party data onboarding by operationalizing standardized vendor intake, secure retro ingestion, templated integrations, and configurable microservices that reduce engineering lift and cycle time. • Drive robust data quality and reconciliation frameworks, including retro vs. production checks, ingress-level monitoring, and drift detection to prevent launch issues and downstream model degradation. • Unlock internal data for ML innovation by improving metadata coverage, lineage standards, ownership contracts, and ML discoverability across high-impact internal domains • Champion a company-wide shift toward data contracts and SLAs, ensuring data producers adopt clear ownership, quality standards, and monitoring practices for ML-critical datasets. • Build and lead a high-performing team spanning data integration, data quality, metadata, and ML-critical data infrastructure, including standing up new dedicated integration capacity where needed.
• Own engineering leadership for a growing portion of our org: Take clear accountability for a set of small, high-output product teams (typically 3–5 engineers each), with tech leads reporting directly to you. Ensure every team has unambiguous priorities, strong support, and everything they need to move fast. • Stay close to the technical work: Engage directly with architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions across your teams. We expect you to spend meaningful time understanding what each team is building — not as a gatekeeper, but as a trusted technical voice who can contribute, challenge, and improve. • Grow the engineering leaders of Maze's future: Take ownership of career development, performance management, and coaching for tech leads and senior engineers in your teams. Build the kind of trust with engineers that comes from genuinely knowing their work, their growth areas, and their ambitions — not from generic 1:1s. • Drive cross-team coordination without creating bureaucracy: Own the planning and coordination layer that keeps multiple small teams aligned and unblocked. Keep it lightweight, decision-focused, and in service of engineering velocity — not process for its own sake. • Lead technical hiring: Take ownership of engineering hiring within your area, from defining the bar and shaping interview processes to closing exceptional candidates. The quality of who we hire is one of the highest-leverage things either of us can do. • Build the org we need to scale: Work closely with Santiago to design team structures, identify emerging leaders from within, and evolve how we operate as the team doubles. We grow leaders from the inside where we can — you'll be central to identifying, developing, and empowering the next generation. • Maintain technical excellence as we grow: Partner with tech leads to uphold code quality, shared engineering practices, and high standards across the org — without letting process replace judgment.
