Electrify Video Partners
• Responsibility for developing thumbnail and titles for new videos and optimisation across our library of videos. • Thumbnail Concept Development: Collaborate with our content team to brainstorm and develop compelling thumbnail concepts that align with the technical and educational content of our YouTube videos. • Design marketing materials, physical brand extension products, and other commercial assets for multiple creator businesses. • Use AI tools to enhance productivity, brainstorm more efficiently, and uplevel the technical execution of thumbnails. • Visual Design: Create eye-catching thumbnails that effectively communicate the content, value, and intrigue of the video. • Utilize image design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) to execute your ideas and bring them to life. • Audience Analysis: Continuously research and analyze YouTube trends, audience preferences, and competitor thumbnails within the premium science and learning niche to stay up-to-date with best practices and optimize our thumbnail strategy. • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing to determine the most effective thumbnails for our videos and iterate on designs based on performance data. • Consistency: Consider consistency in thumbnail design to establish a recognizable and cohesive visual brand identity for our premium channels. • Performance Tracking: Monitor the click-through rates (CTR) and audience retention metrics associated with your thumbnail designs and make data-driven adjustments accordingly. • Collaboration: Work closely with the content team to ensure that thumbnails align with the content and educational messages of our videos.
Job Requirements
- A strong understanding of YouTube trends and best practices for thumbnail design
- Adept at using AI tools to support ideation and enhance thumbnail execution
- Previous commercial experience with print and other digital media is required for this role
- Excellent level of technical knowledge in design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or equivalent tools
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative thumbnail concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adept at analysing data and making data-driven decisions
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with premium science and learning YouTube channels is a benefit
- Blender or 3D modelling experience not essential, but advantageous
- Some experience working with educational/documentary content is a nice-to-have

THE ROLE We are looking for a middle-level or strong junior Graphic Designer to support the creation of ongoing marketing materials. This is a part-time freelance role with a consistent workload and the opportunity for long-term collaboration (6+ months). You will support the marketing team with the production of marketing assets, primarily: - Designing PDF one-pagers (1–2 pages) - Creating and updating Google Slides presentations / sales decks - Updating existing PDFs with translated or revised text content - Applying existing brand guidelines and design system to ensure visual consistency This is a 100% remote/work-from-home role.
