We are a production’s best ally every step of the way. #OneCastOneCrew Backstage is seeking a Senior Designer to lead the design and execution of marketing and editorial assets across channels, including email and advertising campaigns. This role will create high-impact creative for email, paid social, web advertising, presentations, and editorial assets—such as infographics, feature layouts, and visual storytelling components—while helping elevate the overall visual quality of our brand. The Senior Designer will report to the Design Director and work closely with creative and marketing partners across the organization. What you’ll do: - Produce and maintain high-quality marketing and editorial assets across digital and print channels, ensuring all work adheres to brand standards and delivers to spec and on deadline - Partner closely with the design director to help shape and evolve the overall design vision, contributing creative direction and elevated visual thinking across campaigns and properties - Lead the design execution for key initiatives, collaborating with the design director and cross-functional partners to bring marketing and branding campaigns to life - Support Design Director in creating assets for a print magazine, including layouts, covers and supporting visuals, ensuring consistency between print and digital experiences - Create editorial designs assets such as infographics and data visualizations that translate complex information into compelling visuals - Develop still and animated assets for marketing and editorial use - Create, refine, and evolve design templates and systems to support consistency and efficiency across brands and platforms - Maintain and organize art assets and documentation, modeling best practices for file management and version control - Stay current on design, editorial, and motion graphic trends, bringing fresh ideas to the team What we’re looking for from you: - 10+ years of professional experience in a design role, with a strong focus on marketing, brand, and editorial design - Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator; working experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro for animation and motion design - A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional command of core graphic design principles—layout, typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling—across digital, print, and editorial formats - Strong experience designing for email marketing, including building and adapting templates, optimizing for responsiveness and accessibility, and collaborating with marketing partners using tools such as Hubspot/BeeFree - Proven experience designing for print, including long-form or editorial layouts - Experience creating infographics, data visualizations, or editorial assets that translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals - Strong collaborative background working within creative teams and cross-functional partners, with the ability to contribute to and help shape creative direction - Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines - Clear, confident communication and interpersonal skills, with a thoughtful approach to feedback, collaboration, and problem-solving - Anticipates needs and solves problems proactively, maintaining productivity with limited supervision or direction. - Considers long-term impact and scale, balancing immediate project needs with sustainable design solutions.
