Application Engineer

HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær

• Provide technical implementation, configuration, and integration support for Concurrent Real-Time products. • Assist customers in system setup, benchmarking, latency optimization, and troubleshooting of real‑time environments. • Deliver on-site or remote customer training, demonstrations, and technical workshops. • Collaborate with R&D teams to replicate issues and validate fixes. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution guides, and best practices. • Support pre-sales activities by participating in technical presentations and requirements analysis. • Provide feedback to product management on feature requests and market needs. • Travel internationally (approx. 15–25%) for customer engagements, training, and on-site support.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, kernel tuning, or real-time operating system concepts.
  • Experience with C/C++ development and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Familiarity with real-time scheduling, latency analysis, multithreading, or performance optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English (additional European languages a plus).
