DevOps Engineer

ASSA ABLOY

• Responsible for the operation and configuration of cloud-centric product and service offerings • Developing and enhancing SaaS product offerings with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, observability, and overall well-architected principles • Managing and improving CI/CD platforms and pipelines, driving end-to-end automation • Implementing automation for infrastructure, virtual machines, and containerized environments across multiple cloud platforms • Supporting the evolution of DevOps culture and practices within the organization • Managing, maintaining, and continuously improving operational runbooks and playbooks

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience with public cloud computing, primarily Microsoft Azure
  • Beneficial knowledge of AWS to support multi-cloud environments
  • Solid skills in configuration management and infrastructure-as-code
  • Expertise in Terraform/OpenTofu
  • Additional value placed on tools such as Ansible, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Bicep
  • Excellent understanding of core infrastructure concepts including virtual machines, serverless compute, networking, storage, and databases
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build/test automation, and tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, and Bash
  • Experience managing containerized workloads using Azure Container Apps, AWS ECS, and Docker
  • Desirable experience in Kubernetes and Helm
  • Comfortable working remotely with occasional visits to the Olney office

Role Description We are looking for an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will: - Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation systems. - Work closely with development teams to improve reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity across our suite of .NET applications and services. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise across AWS cloud services, containerization, and modern DevOps tooling, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are core values. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering role. - Proven experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation or Terraform. - Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks. - Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, specifically Docker. - Experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems in production environments. - Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or equivalent. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and management. - Experience with artifact repository management. - Demonstrated experience building fault-tolerant systems.
