Senior Field Services Engineer
Signode
• Identify complex customer- and/or machine-related problems, review related information to develop and evaluate options, and implement effective, strategic solutions • Assess and analyze conversions and retrofit needs • Provide technical support and training to Signode technicians • Read and interpret complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics as required for installation, commissioning, training, repair, conversions, and retrofits of customer equipment • Independently schedule service calls, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic functions • Disassemble units and replace defective parts • Make adjustments and test proper operation on most assigned equipment • Coordinate proactive pre-installation meetings with customers to review installation procedures and company/customer responsibilities • Inspect sites for product compatibility and install, adjust, and test equipment • Proactively report and follow up on potential unsafe conditions and recommend effective solutions • Maintain effective customer relationships by diplomatically explaining product failures, the nature of the problem, and recommended corrective actions • Communicate essential information in a timely manner to key stakeholders such as customers, management, and engineering • Troubleshoot and repair advanced-level PLC issues • Design and deliver training programs for repair and/or preventive maintenance • Prepare comprehensive technical surveys on redesign leads • Work with the inventory manager to assist with appropriate stock levels and specific parts • Identify conversion and retrofit opportunities and notify appropriate parties to support quotation proposals • Advise customers on the need to maintain spare parts inventory to ensure continuity of their operations • Ensure effective operational excellence (reporting/administrative tasks for reliability service technicians).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation)
- 8 years of relevant/transferable experience
- Experience in equipment/machine maintenance
- Advanced English proficiency
- Knowledge: electrical, mechanical, PLC, and HMI
- Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Vocational training (electrical, mechanical, or automation courses - SENAI or similar institutions).

Field Service Engineer

• Analyze customer's requirements to ensure effective system installation by providing Pre site Planning and Installation Coordination with the customer. • Ability to autonomously manage and schedule both planned and unplanned appointments with Customers to ensure maximum system reliability, functionality and that Uptime Guarantees are achieved. • Assess and determine follow up visits to ensure maximum system reliability. • Use discretion and independent judgment when assessing the functionality and Repairing Intuitive Surgical products. • Ability to identify, make recommendations, and or provide feedback to Product Support and Product Engineering on Product or process enhancements that addresses customer concerns. • Provide on-site technical and training support to Junior and Filed Service Engineer, prevent, or ensure proper technical escalation to resolution. • Engage service contract renewal discussion with hospitals by presenting the value proposition of Intuitive Surgical’s service offerings. • Independently manage all administrative duties of role that includes but are not limited to; Spare Parts Inventory, Returned Material Authorizations, Calibrated Equipment, Training Documentation, Preventative Maintenance Scheduling, Service Contracts Billings, System Configurations, and data in Call Escalation database. • Support Sales Training and Marketing events by analyzing potential issues and develop independent strategies to resolve.
