Team Lead IT Architecture

• You lead the architecture team within the Applications & Services unit (currently 4 employees), both technically and as people manager, and purposefully develop the team with a focus on coaching, target attainment and continuous improvement. • You take responsibility for coordinating, prioritizing and ensuring the quality of the team’s tasks and guarantee efficient service delivery. • You coordinate the architecture boards and actively shape the further development of the company-wide architecture governance. • You contribute to transformation and architecture initiatives and assume a central role from structuring and visualization to methodological guidance, with a clear focus on actionable and sustainable solutions. • You ensure close and effective collaboration with a range of stakeholders, particularly business representatives, Business Development, Business Applications, Business Analysts, and other IT and business units. • You actively support and empower teams and stakeholders by bringing structure, clarity and methodological rigor to complex initiatives and by producing sound bases for decisions. • In workshops you get to the point: you prepare material tailored to the audience, facilitate sessions in a structured way and document results transparently. • You ensure consistency and clarity across all architecture domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology, Security) and bridge the gap between strategic target architectures and operational implementation. • You drive the advancement of architecture methodology, standards and processes and establish a uniform understanding of architecture across the company. • You track technological trends and support the development of target architectures, roadmaps, principles and standards, ensuring their clear and traceable documentation in the appropriate tools. • You operate confidently between strategic topics and day-to-day operations and bring structure to complex environments involving multiple expert teams.
Job Requirements
- Several years of experience in a leadership role or as a team, project or architecture lead in an IT or business environment.
- Proven experience in transformation projects, ideally in a role as an architect or in a comparable key position.
- Solid experience in IT architecture with exposure to multiple domains (e.g., business, application, technology or enterprise architecture).
- Experience in the area of Enterprise Architecture is an advantage.
- Degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills and a genuine interest in developing a team both professionally and personally.
- High level of responsibility, decisiveness and initiative, combined with an open and cooperative communication style.
- Experience with architecture methods, frameworks and governance structures and with working in architecture boards or comparable committees.
- Confident use of methods and tools for structuring, visualization and facilitation (e.g., for workshops, modeling and decision-making).
- Good technical understanding of modern IT landscapes, ideally with knowledge in areas such as Microsoft technologies, ITSM, platforms and hybrid environments.
- Ability to connect business, technical and organizational perspectives and to mediate between different stakeholder groups.
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style and the ability to create clarity even in complex situations.
- Enjoy working at the intersection of strategic target architectures and operational day-to-day activities and developing sustainable solutions together with diverse expert teams.
- German and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
