Solutions Architect – ELDS
ABB
• Lead the technical solution input to create winning, compliant, and commercially competitive bids. • Develop conceptual and detailed electrification architectures for projects in data centres, utilities, renewables, and emerging sectors. • Define system topologies including MV/LV distribution, protection, SCADA, digital systems, and BESS integration. • Create and support eHouse / prefabricated substation solutions, including equipment layout, compliance, HVAC considerations, and integration of ABB technologies. • Provide technical leadership during project bid, supporting compliant and competitive solution proposals. • Engage with customers, end users, consultants, EPCs, and DNOs to influence specifications and present ABB solutions. • Collaborate closely with ABB sales, engineering, product management, and global solution teams. • Capture market insights and lessons learnt from executed projects to continuously improve our solution offering.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding of MV switchgear, protection, and substation architectures.
- Working knowledge of SCADA, communication interfaces, and power automation.
- Familiarity with BESS concepts, grid integration, and power systems.
- Experience with eHouses, packaged substations, or prefabricated electrical buildings.
- HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in solution architecture, consulting engineering, applications engineering, or tendering.
- Prior UK market experience with electrical projects is an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Administrator) are a plus. - 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce. - Experience writing detailed technical assessments and documentation for Salesforce. - Proven experience in Salesforce development and customization, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components. - Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models, and security. - Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency with Office 365 and related computer applications. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing demands, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. • Operate and manage modern data platforms - from streaming, to data lakes, to analytics, and beyond across a progressively evolving technical stack. • Demonstrate clear ownership of multiple simultaneous customer accounts across a variety of technical stacks and act as a technical leader. • Proactively identify and articulate best practices and improvements to customers on how to best leverage their Cloud Data Platform. • Skillfully navigate complex customer environments and build Epics, Stories, and Tasks in order to mature and improve our customer’s data platform. Delegate to and coach Engineers and ensure successful and timely delivery of these Epics. • Provide thought leadership by recommending the right technologies and approaches to maturing and solving problems to help ensure performance, security, scalability, and user satisfaction. • Continually hunt for ways to automate and optimize existing processes.
