Software Development Engineer II
CSG
• You will help design, build, and operate engineering solutions that keep CSG’s internal services, work management platforms, and operational tooling reliable and efficient. • You’ll work primarily on integrations and automation across systems like Helix ITSM, Azure DevOps (ADO), Atlassian, MyCSG, and Jitterbit, with a strong focus on data migration, synchronization, and workflow automation. • You will participate in design and delivery of medium-sized features and components across the full application development lifecycle – build, test, deployment, hosting, monitoring, and continuous improvement – working closely with architects, senior engineers, product owners, and support SMEs. • You will implement REST API integrations between Jira/Helix/ADO and other internal systems. • You will contribute to Jitterbit (Private Agent Group) integrations, including configuration and scripting. • You will support data migration tooling (e.g., Jira → ADO) across extract, transform, validate, and load stages. • You will build checks and scripts to keep records in sync across Helix, Jira/ADO, and other systems. • You will partner with senior engineers on migration strategy and validation rules. • You will deliver features in C#/.NET using Visual Studio and Git / Azure DevOps Repos. • You will contribute to Azure Pipelines CI/CD for builds, tests, and deployments. • You will help develop and support web apps and services. • You will implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for integrations and services. • You will help triage and resolve production issues across Helix, ADO, Atlassian, Jitterbit, and related flows. • You will maintain runbooks and operational checks and participate in support/on-call rotations with guidance. • You will participate in design discussions and estimations with senior engineers and architects. • You will work closely with product, operations, and support teams to turn requirements into robust solutions. • You will share knowledge through documentation, demos, and cross-training sessions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in enterprise or platform/tooling teams.
- Strong programming skills in C#/.NET (or similar typed language) and experience working with REST APIs (consumption and basic design).
- Hands-on experience with application development lifecycle activities: Implementing features, Writing and maintaining automated tests, Participating in build and deployment processes, Supporting applications in hosted/cloud environments.
- Practical experience with integration or ETL tooling (e.g., Jitterbit, custom migration scripts, or equivalent), including error handling, throttling, and retry patterns.
- Experience working with: Jitterbit Script & JavaScript, REST & SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, Authentication patterns such as OAuth, Basic Auth, API keys, Webhooks and Postman / API testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps: Work items, queries, and boards, Azure Repos (Git), Azure Pipelines CI/CD (build, release, deployment processes).
- Good working knowledge of SQL and data modeling for operational / reporting scenarios (e.g., staging tables for migrations, operational dashboards).
- Comfort working in Azure and/or other cloud environments (app services, service accounts, secrets, connectivity patterns).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly around distributed integrations (multiple systems, logs, and teams involved).
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring practices (e.g., structured logs, dashboards, alerts) across services and integrations.

• Test automation and monitoring are the cornerstones of this role. • You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and monitoring a comprehensive, automated test suite with a test-driven mindset. • Writing robust End-to-End (E2E) tests using Playwright to cover critical user journeys, such as enrolment, assessment submission, and CRM workflows. • Utilize Vitest for unit and integration testing to verify utility functions, complex React components, and database interaction logic. • Actively monitor test results and system health. • Integrate logs from various services (e.g., n8n, Sentry, Netlify) into a centralized monitoring platform. • Configure alerts based on these logs and integrate them with communication apps or AI agents for smart error resolution. • Ensure all new features meet strict acceptance criteria, do not introduce regressions, and are fully observable in production. • Develop and maintain features for NytroLMS using React and TypeScript, implementing user interfaces with Tailwind CSS and Radix UI components. • Design and interact with Supabase PostgreSQL databases, ensuring efficient queries and proper indexing.
• Drive continuous improvements in the quality of Hydrosat’s Thermal and VNIR data products. • Assess the radiometric accuracy of Hydrosat’s data products using ground truth data (e.g., RadCalNet), well-calibrated reference sensor data, and radiative transfer tools (e.g., MODTRAN). • Contribute to the development of Hydrosat’s image processing pipeline with production-grade Python code. • Contribute to development of pre-launch data collection procedures for the next generation of Hydrosat payloads and sensors. • Create clear documentation and publications explaining methodologies and data quality for external audiences. • Troubleshoot data quality issues and implementing software fixes to resolve them
