Hydrosat

• Implement, maintain, and improve security controls across AWS environments. • Support secure configuration of IAM, logging, monitoring, networking, and cloud services. • Operate and improve vulnerability management processes across infrastructure, applications, containers, and dependencies. • Triage security findings, assign ownership, track remediation, and drive closure with engineering teams. • Support SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM, and container security workflows using tools such as Snyk and AWS-native services. • Help integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows. • Track remediation of penetration testing findings and validate closure of high-priority issues. • Support NIST 800-171 control implementation, evidence collection, and audit readiness activities. • Maintain accurate documentation of security controls, risks, exceptions, and remediation progress. • Support enterprise-grade security monitoring and incident response by leveraging centralized logging, alerting, and detection capabilities to identify, investigate, and respond to security events across the environment. • Assist with security monitoring, alert triage, investigation, and incident response activities. • Partner with Engineering, Platform, and IT teams to improve security processes without creating unnecessary friction. • Contribute to repeatable DevSecOps practices across teams.

• Drive continuous improvements in the quality of Hydrosat’s Thermal and VNIR data products. • Assess the radiometric accuracy of Hydrosat’s data products using ground truth data (e.g., RadCalNet), well-calibrated reference sensor data, and radiative transfer tools (e.g., MODTRAN). • Contribute to the development of Hydrosat’s image processing pipeline with production-grade Python code. • Contribute to development of pre-launch data collection procedures for the next generation of Hydrosat payloads and sensors. • Create clear documentation and publications explaining methodologies and data quality for external audiences. • Troubleshoot data quality issues and implementing software fixes to resolve them

• Architect and develop scalable, full-stack services used for operating our growing constellation of satellites • Strong product mindset: eye for detail in shaping tools and reporting the scale the efficiency of our satellite operations • Own projects end-to-end: from design and prototyping through deployment, monitoring, and iteration • Collaborate cross-functionally with space systems, product, and other software engineering teams • Mentor and guide engineers by sharing best practices and fostering a culture of technical excellence • Contribute to quality by conducting code reviews, writing tests, and improving engineering processes • Leverage modern technologies such as Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, AWS, and Docker to deliver performant and maintainable services
