Senior Engineering Manager, Messaging Channels

Postscript

• Lead the team that owns Postscript’s messaging backbone: Flow Builder, the campaign send engine, the messaging platform that every Postscript product is built on, and expansion into additional channels • Drive reliability, throughput, and cost efficiency of a production system that handles Postscript-scale messaging volume • Manage the Messaging Platform as an internal product, setting contracts, prioritization, and support expectations with engineering consumer teams across Postscript • Own the team’s dedicated on-call rotation, including incident response, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement of reliability posture • Collaborate with platform, AI, and integrations engineering teammates, product managers, business stakeholders, designers, and compliance partners to plan and execute work • Carry out performance management duties for your direct reports via just-in-time feedback, 1:1s, annual reviews, and continuous improvement opportunities • Consistently provide ongoing technical mentorship and general professional development for your direct reports and other engineers at Postscript • Establish and continually improve development, on-call, and incident-review processes that yield maximum efficiency and operational rigor in day-to-day engineering operations • Partner with and grow Staff Engineers and technical experts in the organization to develop technical roadmaps and complete technical initiatives that enable engineering efficiency, handle the growth of our platform’s scale, and improve velocity • Recruit and hire engineers on your team and on other teams, raise and advocate for new positions on your team, and directly participate in the screening and evaluation of candidates • Lead and participate in culture initiatives that will help us create the best engineering organization in the world

Job Requirements

  • A proven career directly managing engineers and developing top performers into principal engineers (ideally 4+ years of leadership experience)
  • Experience mentoring staff engineers and highly technical contributors
  • Experience leading teams that own high-volume, business-critical distributed systems such as messaging, payments, or similarly demanding delivery pipelines
  • Experience running an internal platform that other engineering teams depend on, including managing contracts, prioritization, and on-call across consumer teams
  • Demonstrated excellence in recruiting and onboarding engineers
  • Clear passion for people, management, and enabling people to do their best work
  • Early-stage / high-growth SaaS experience
  • Led teams that have maintained critical infrastructure that internal and external developers build on
  • Introduced and maintained systems with a high level of observability (alerting, logging, monitoring, SLOs)
  • Led teams that support deeply embedded integrations with external ecommerce platforms, carriers, or third-party service providers
  • Comfortable supporting frontend engineering on a product surface like Flow Builder, even if your primary background is backend
  • Exposure to AI technologies (predictive and generative) and how they consume platform services is a plus
  • Demonstrated passion for delivering great products (martech SaaS or ecommerce experience preferred).

Role Description VulnCheck is looking for a Senior Exploit Developer with a background in reverse engineering and exploit development. This role is on our Initial Access Intelligence team, which delivers exploits and related artifacts designed to give VulnCheck customers visibility into exploitation from exposure through execution and detection. You’ll work with a seasoned team of hackers and threat researchers to help global enterprises, governments, and intelligence firms defend against emerging threats and get ahead of the attacker curve. While initial access vulnerabilities are our main focus area, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on a variety of local and other exploits, as well as our open-source go-exploit framework. Although this is a 100% remote role, we will prioritize candidates based in one of our U.S. hubs in Massachusetts, Maryland, or Austin, TX. Qualifications - Prior experience with writing exploit code for RCE / initial access vulnerabilities (that do not require authentication to exploit) - Experience working on technical projects remotely, alone, and on small teams Requirements - Reverse engineering software to discover the root cause analysis (RCA) of vulnerabilities. - Authoring original software exploits for initial access vulnerabilities, when little or no publicly-available proof of concept code for exploiting such vulnerabilities exists. - Implementing detections (such as Suricata & Snort signatures, YARA rules, etc.) for identifying such initial access vulnerabilities being exploited on the wire. - Writing Attack Surface Management (ASM) queries (e.g., Shodan, Census, FOFA, & ZoomEye) for finding vulnerable systems likely to be targeted.
