Role Description ASRC Federal Holding Company LLC is seeking a full time Database Administrator to support our government customer programs. This role is a remote position for candidates based in the DMV area. - Implements and maintains operation and physical design of diverse databases. - Conducts performance tuning of indexes, optimization of storage functionality (i.e. compression techniques or cloud offerings), and databases in general. - Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery, clones, and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. - Maintains security and integrity controls. - Formulates and implements policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. - Building code and implementing database changes based on user request. - Providing Semi DBA support for the developers. - Testing and troubleshooting baselines codes for the developers. - Preparing Liquibase codes for production delivery. - Answering questions about corp databases from the new developers. Qualifications - Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a related or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Demonstrated experience in Oracle 19 Database Management. - Working knowledge and experience with Version Control (GitHub), Liquibase & Database DevOps, Jenkins (CI/CD Automation) and Batch Script Development. - Prior experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming, debugging and troubleshooting complex systems as well as documentation and process standardization. - Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Attention to detail and change management discipline. - US Citizenship required to successfully complete a government background investigation. - Ability to obtain a Public Trust. - This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract. Role Description The Database Administrator provides ongoing administration, support, and process automation services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) SharePoint Online environment within Microsoft 365 (M365). This position supports the Corporate Business and Analysis Group (CBA) and associated NAWCWD organizations under the Administrative Services contract. This is a non-personal services position; the incumbent operates under contractor supervision and does not receive task direction from Government personnel. *This position is contingent upon contract award.* Responsibilities - SharePoint Online Administration - Manage and maintain the NAWCWD SharePoint Online environment within Microsoft 365, including site collections, sites, document libraries, lists, and permissions. - Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint site structures to support organizational workflows and administrative processes for CBA and associated NAWCWD organizations. - Administer user access and permissions in accordance with NAWCWD M365 security policies and applicable DoD security regulations. - Identify, investigate, and resolve SharePoint performance issues, capacity concerns, and scalability requirements. - Coordinate changes to SharePoint configurations and database environments, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. - Process Automation - Design, develop, and implement automated workflows using Power Automate (Flow) and SharePoint Online features to streamline business processes. - Analyze existing administrative processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Adhere to applicable DoD security regulations and NAWCWD best practices within the M365 environment when developing and deploying automated solutions. - Test and validate automated workflows prior to deployment; maintain documentation of workflow design and configuration. - Power BI Reporting & Dashboards - Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards utilizing data from M365 services to support management and financial visibility for CBA and NAWCWD stakeholders. - Extract, transform, and consolidate data from SharePoint and other M365 sources to populate reports and dashboards. - Update and maintain existing reports as data sources, organizational structures, or reporting requirements change. - Security & Compliance - Ensure all SharePoint Online configurations, automated workflows, and Power BI solutions comply with NAWCWD M365 security policies and procedures. - Maintain a strong understanding of DoD security regulations and best practices applicable to cloud environments within M365. - Collaborate with NAWCWD security personnel to implement and maintain secure SharePoint Online solutions and automated workflows within the M365 tenant. - Handle all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with DoDI 5200.48; ensure CUI is properly marked, safeguarded, and transmitted only through approved encrypted channels. - Comply with OPSEC requirements outlined in the DD Form 254 and applicable DoD and DON directives. - Database Administration - Administer, test, and implement database configurations, applying knowledge of database management systems within the M365/SharePoint Online environment. - Monitor database performance, capacity, and scalability; identify and resolve performance issues proactively. - Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard databases and associated data in compliance with applicable DoD regulations. - Maintain records and documentation of database configurations, changes, and issue resolutions. - General Administrative Support - Prepare documents, reports, and data compatible with the Government IT environment, including Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 or greater, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams. - Maintain state-of-the-art anti-virus software and ensure all media are virus-free when delivered. - Support the Monthly Progress and Financial Status Report (CDRL A001) by providing relevant labor and activity data to the contractor's management chain. - Attend meetings at classification levels up to Secret as required; participation limited to administrative and technical support functions consistent with non-personal services requirements. - Performs other related duties as assigned.
