Senior Java Developer – Technical Leadership

GFT Technologies

• Senior-level developer working with (Java + Azure Cloud + APIs), with a specialist technical profile and strong leadership skills. • Will serve as the technical reference for the team, contributing to architectural decisions, promoting best practices, and driving continuous engineering improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Solid experience with Java 11+ (preferably Java 17 or 21).
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Spring Data.
  • Experience developing high-availability RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with hexagonal architecture (Ports & Adapters).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure (App Service, AKS, API Management, CI/CD).
  • Experience with messaging systems (Apache Kafka — topics, consumer groups, retries and DLQ).
  • Experience with Azure Event Hub for event ingestion and processing.
  • Handling Azure Blob Storage via the Java SDK.
  • Experience with MongoDB (data modeling, indexing and aggregations).
  • Application of resilience patterns (Circuit Breaker, Retry, Bulkhead, Timeout).
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automated testing (unit, integration and contract tests).
  • Prior experience in technical leadership (formal or informal).
  • Participation in code reviews, technical refinements and architectural decisions.
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with teams and technical stakeholders.
