• Support end-user engagement processes such as assisting credit unions and internal users in the creation of reports. • Research data questions/issues and reporting solutions back to the BI Analysts when a defect is found, or improvement is needed. • Design and develop new reports to solve complex business problems. • Create and maintain educational assets and training materials. • Facilitate internal and external training classes. • Champion and promote analytic tools, methods and conceptual approaches by demonstrating paths to improved business intelligence, and decision making. • Define and execute within product lifecycle and iterative design processes for new work products (reports, educational assets, engagement techniques). • Participate in formal projects to produce project definition/initiation document clearly defining scope and project objectives; elicit, document and prioritize business requirements, understand business risks, and transition from requirements to solutions and business implementation principles. • Collect, evaluate and compress data and information from various sources, elicit actual user needs, and document a new concept or remediation plan. • Develop use cases and execute test scripts for user acceptance testing processes. • Identify, develop and support business implementation and readiness tasks, mitigating risk and remediating end-user adoption hurdles. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Business Intelligence or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Three (3) years product service/support or client relationship experience within the financial services industry required.
- Two (2) years Data Analyst or Business Analyst role with experience in large data sets, identifying trends, and relational database required.
- Two (2) years of experience with data delivery or analytic tools/applications preferred.
- Demonstrates a basic commercial awareness of the credit union and financial services industries and the role of processors, payment networks, and major aspects of the payments ecosystem including card management, card and ACH transactions, rewards, fraud mitigation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of one or more of the noted subject areas is preferred.
- Proven track record demonstrating strong analytical reasoning, problem solving and quantitative skills.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to read SQL language.
- Proven ability to manage multiple work-streams, achieve set goals, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and evolving work environment.
- Proven self-starter skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix or cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with internal staff, clients staff (typically Business Analysts, Data Owners, Data Delivery Solution Owners, business and operational staff) through interviews or indirect channels.
