Maintenance Manager, Southern Europe

• You will be responsible for building and expanding the department, as well as ensuring quality assurance and standardisation of all technical and safety-relevant processes • You will oversee several of our hotels in Southern Europe and ensure they are maintained to a high standard • You will manage technical building services at hotel and workplace locations, monitor optimisation of their maintenance, and plan repair work as required • You will act as the point of contact for our hotel technicians: train them, organise training sessions, and review and optimise procedures for operations and facility management • You will ensure maintenance work, repairs and new installations are carried out cost‑effectively, on time and to the required standard • You will monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, rules, inspection deadlines and occupational health and safety requirements • You will assist in drafting service contracts, review contract terms, obtain quotes and handle claims with insurance companies
Job Requirements
- Successfully completed training in building services / technical building systems
- Several years of professional experience in a similar role; ideally you have also managed properties abroad
- Willingness to travel and comfort with being frequently on the road
- Solid knowledge of building services as well as control and measurement technology
- Professional demeanour; loyalty and integrity are second nature to you
- Able to solve problems independently and creatively while keeping commercial considerations in mind
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and a structured, organised working approach that keeps you on top of tasks
- Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage
