• Responsible for the timely follow-up and resolution of insurance claims. • Analyze A/R data and perform claim status checks. • Handle denials and maintain compliance with U.S. healthcare billing and regulatory requirements. • Optimize cash flow and support overall revenue cycle performance. • Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), authorizations, and medical documentation. • Convert denials into payments by filing appeals or correcting claim errors.
Job Requirements
- High School (HSC) or Graduate equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in U.S. healthcare accounts receivable follow-up and/or denial management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Willingness to work continuous night shifts.

Role Description We are looking for a first, second or third year Student to join us at one of our specialty pharmacies across Canada for the summer term. The scope of this role will allow for you to support the pharmacy team in a variety of ways. Your mission: - Manage general administrative duties including maintaining effective communication channels with pharmacies, partners and patients via email/phone while maintaining detailed documentation of all encounters. - Work with financial information, including entering data into computer software, preparing invoices, and maintaining patient AR accounts. - Participate in responding to communication from various stakeholders, including monitoring email accounts and answering phones. - Provide exemplary patient-centered care in all interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. - Ensure documentation is completed and submitted according to the timeline outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) including Incident Reports, Adverse Event Reports, and Product Quality Complaints. - Future development of this role may also include remote support of other pharmacy activities. - Responsible for reporting any patient safety information as per adverse event reporting requirements. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and returning in the fall of 2026. - Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. • Oversee daily accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, dispute resolution, and cash application • Ensure timely and accurate invoice submission in compliance with customer and internal requirements • Manage invoice submissions through customer platforms (e.g., Ariba, OpenInvoice) • Monitor aging reports and drive resolution of past-due balances • Review and approve invoices, credit memos, and adjustments • Lead, coach, and develop AR team members; assign and prioritize workload • Escalate and resolve complex customer disputes and billing issues • Support credit management processes, including monitoring limits and account status • Prepare and review AR aging, reconciliations, and performance reports • Support month-end close activities and ensure AR balances are accurate • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work • Partner with Accounting, Operations, and Finance teams to resolve issues and improve workflows • Support system enhancements, onboarding of new customers, and process standardization • Perform ad hoc reporting, special projects, and other duties as assigned
