Responsibilities As our Structural Engineer, you will be hands-on with technical design of buildings projects, oversee multiple projects simultaneously including budgeting, scheduling, and client management & communication, and attend project sites and client meetings. - Collaborate with teams of engineers and architects to complete project deliverables. - Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines. - Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product. - Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, SteelSmart, and Simpson CFS Designer. - Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards. - Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals. Qualifications We are seeking the following experience and qualifications: - B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred. - FL Professional Engineering (PE) license is a must. - 5+ years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood). - Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high-seismic regions. - Technical skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel). - Experience assembling calculation packages for submittal to agencies (DSA and HCAI a plus). - Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is preferred. About the role: As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) you will ensure supplier compliance with Westinghouse quality, technical, and contractual requirements for major mechanical equipment and services supporting nuclear new plant and operating fleet programs. You will be the primary quality interface between Westinghouse and assigned suppliers, driving supplier qualification, oversight, issue resolution, and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid role with consideration to be remote within the US. You will travel up to 30-40% both domestic and international and you will report to the Director, Major Mechanical. Key Responsibilities: - Supplier Qualification & Oversight - Perform supplier quality evaluations, audits, surveys, and technical assessments following Westinghouse procedures and nuclear quality requirements. - Support supplier qualification and maintenance on the Qualified Supplier List (QSL), including scope verification and ongoing compliance. - Complete supplier oversight activities including witness and hold points, inspections, and surveillance at supplier facilities. - Quality Assurance & Compliance - Ensure supplier Quality Assurance Programs comply with applicable standards such as ASME NQA 1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME Section III, and applicable customer/regulatory requirements. - Review supplier quality plans, procedures, inspection and test plans, and manufacturing documentation. - Support technical and quality reviews of procurement requisitions and change notices. - Issue Resolution & Corrective Action - Lead supplier nonconformance resolution, including issuance and closure of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs). - Guide root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness reviews. - Escalate quality issues and support risk mitigation strategies. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Operations to resolve supplier issues and ensure on time, compliant delivery. - Support supplier development programs to improve quality performance and capability. - Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and trends. - Prepare reports and provide status updates to Supply Chain and Quality leadership.
