Internship Program is a 10–12-week experience (May – August, 40 hours/week) designed to develop high-potential candidates into marketing leaders through hands-on experiences that connect interns' strengths and interests with the business's needs. In addition to making an impact through your participation in key projects and transformative processes, you will have an opportunity to mentor and network with leaders throughout Acuity Inc. We prefer that interns have only one or two semesters left in their degree program so they can be considered for our Leadership Program immediately after completing the internship. Our Leadership Program is a full-time, entry-level rotational program that allows recent graduates to explore different areas within a functional area. These experiences enable young talent to expand their skill set and network within the company while discovering what they are passionate about early in their careers. Key Responsibilities - Partner with category managers to enhance our supplier relationship management process. - Lead project to enrich our supplier master data and onboard suppliers into our systems. - Learn and work in a leading Source to Pay software system. - Develop Power BI reports and dashboards to support performance tracking and project progress towards goals. - Interface with cross-functional partners in IT, AP, Operations, and Finance, supporting rollout of the supplier relationship management initiatives. Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university. - Relevant internship or project experience. - A minimum GPA of 3.0. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proven problem-solving capabilities. - Strong time management and prioritization skills. - Experience leading teams or organizations. In this role, you’ll: • Lead M&A and strategic transactions end-to-end by advising on deal structure, planning diligence, negotiating definitive agreements, and coordinating signing/closing to complete transactions efficiently. • Support minority investments and venture-style transactions by negotiating investment and side agreements, advising on governance rights and protections, and aligning legal terms to UKG’s strategic objectives. • Partner closely with Corporate Development by advising on term sheets/LOIs, translating legal risk into business options, and helping the deal team make timely, informed decisions. • Run diligence workstreams by setting a diligence strategy, identifying and prioritizing issues, and presenting clear recommendations so stakeholders can resolve key risks before signing. • Manage outside counsel by setting strategy, directing scope and deliverables, and controlling cost so the team gets high-quality, actionable work product. • Coordinate cross-functional execution by working with Finance, Tax, HR, and business leaders to align objectives, close requirements, and help guide post-close intgration. • Pitch in on core corporate matters by preparing or advising on governance actions, entity management needs, and compliance-related requirements tied to transactions and corporate operations. About You: Basic Qualifications: • J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (or ability to meet in-house counsel registration requirements, as applicable). • Transaction leadership experience serving as the lead legal advisor on M&A and/or strategic transactions, including drafting and negotiating definitive agreements and driving deals through signing and closing. • In-house experience providing practical legal counsel directly to business teams, including making recommendations and decisions to move transactions forward. • Experience managing outside counsel on complex corporate transactions, including directing workstreams and controlling scope and cost.
