Role Description SITE Technologies is seeking a Photogrammetry/GIS Specialist. The Specialist is responsible for assessing, manipulating, and modifying geospatial third-party data sets to create alignment with schema. Advanced proficiency in GIS data processing is required including coursework and experience in software such as ArcGIS, Pix4D, Agisoft, QGIS or the equivalent required for this role. The role maintains a thorough knowledge of SITE and all of our services as well as awareness of other roles and responsibilities throughout the organization. What You’ll Do: - Manipulate geospatial data sets in ArcGIS/Pix4D or relevant mapping software. - Analyze the components of a shapefile and other standard formats for data quality. - Recognize appropriate data projection for data sets based on location and standards. - Evaluate geospatial data sets for quality and accuracy. - Research open-source geospatial base map data sets and evaluate for quality. - Use mapping tools and GIS experience to continually improve mapping accuracy and edits. - Work independently and troubleshoot problems with minimal oversight. - Analyze mapping data and make decisions based on policy to complete mapping workflows. - Maintain geospatial documentation to ensure partners and stakeholders are informed of standards. - Provide quantitative and qualitative insights to mapping processes as part of post-project analysis. - Run QA tools and answer key quality questions about workflows. - Enter key mapping metadata and other information as requested with high accuracy. - Handle complex and time-sensitive geospatial data modeling questions. - Proactively identify and raise systemic problems with tools or processes. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 2-5 years of experience in photogrammetry software/databases for mapping such as ArcGIS, Pix4D, Agisoft, QGIS, or the equivalent required. - Project management skills including listening and communication, organizing data and information, attention to detail, integrity, honesty, customer centric focus, problem solving, reliability, adaptability, and efficiency. - Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Passion for delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions that meet the real-world needs of users. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite and other office applications. - Excellent problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality. - Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities. - Must thrive in a fast-paced, startup, team environment. - Detail oriented, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality. - Works independently with minimal supervision on a broad variety of projects. Requirements - FAA Remote Pilot Certification (Part 107 license) - Preferred - Python experience is a plus.
