Lead AWS Cloud Engineer
CACI International
• Develop and maintain the cloud strategy in alignment with business objectives. • Evaluate and recommend cloud services, platforms, and technologies. • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures leveraging AWS. • Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and deployment guides. • Lead the implementation of cloud solutions using AWS. • Plan and execute migration of applications and data to the cloud, ensuring seamless integration with ECS container platforms. • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations within AWS environments. • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environments. • Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and performance across AWS. • Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance on AWS. • Mentor and support team members in adopting cloud technologies and best practices. • Develop and manage cloud budgeting and cost optimization strategies for AWS.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active DOD Secret security clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture or a related role, 7+ in the information technology industry
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Networking, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS, etc.)
- Significant EKS or other Kubernetes experience
- Experience with containerization technologies, microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, tools (e.g., Gitlab, Git, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Active CompTIA security+ certificate

Role Description The O&S Cloud Engineer is responsible for the deployment, provisioning, hardening, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and related cloud services, with a program focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role designs, builds, maintains, and enhances cloud environments to support mission-critical operations, ensuring security, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
