Role Description The Senior Learning Experience Designer will drive measurable growth by building outcome-based learning experiences that directly improve performance across Avalara's go-to-market teams. You will sit at the intersection of enablement, product, and AI-powered workflows—using tools like n8n and Glean to scale personalized, data-informed learning while following responsible AI governance standards. Unlike traditional L&D roles, you will focus on tightly aligning learning to revenue and operational outcomes, with rapid iteration based on performance data. You will work remotely and report to Enablement Leadership as part of the Learning Strategy & Design team. #LI-Remote Responsibilities - Development: Create outcome-based learning experiences, including eLearning, workshops, and blended programs, using backwards design to align content and assessments with measurable business and learner outcomes. - Collaboration and Analysis: Partner with SMEs and team members to identify performance gaps, conduct learner analysis, and ensure learning solutions align with organizational goals and diverse learner needs. - Evaluation and Iteration: Measure program effectiveness using assessments and frameworks such as Kirkpatrick, using data and feedback to improve learning impact. - Project Management: Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, including planning and timelines to create high-quality solutions. - Technology: Use tools such as Articulate 360, LMS/LXP platforms, and AI-enabled solutions like n8n and Glean to develop engaging, data-driven learning experiences. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience designing learning solutions using frameworks such as backwards design or outcome-based development. - Portfolio of instructional design work demonstrating independently developed eLearning, workshops, or blended learning programs. - Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate), learning platforms (LMS or LXP), and design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). - Experience using AI tools (e.g., Adobe AI, Glean, ChatGPT) or applying AI in research and development workflows to enhance learning outcomes. Pay Range Details - Colorado: $100,300 - $165,500 (annually) - Washington: $100,300 - $177,200 (annually) - California: $100,300 - $194,300 (annually) - NYC: $110,800 - $194,300 (annually) The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role. The Civil 3D Junior Designer supports Pinchin’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation (EDR) team by assisting with the preparation of Civil 3D models and drawings for environmental and infrastructure projects.
