Regional Manager

Role Description We are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Manager to lead and grow our Southwest sales region. In this role, you will be responsible for regional sales performance, strategic planning, and the leadership and development of Clinical Specialists and CI Consumer Specialists. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our presence across implant centers while building strong relationships with surgeons, audiologists, and hospital decision-makers. - Drive regional sales to 100% to plan. - Develop a strategic market analysis and business plan for the region. - Execute the sales strategy for the territory with the participation of the Clinical Specialist and ORS. - Actively manage the day-to-day activities for the ORS & Clinical Specialist in the region. - Prepare a written monthly business review and analysis for the region. - Meet, discuss, and act on the specific customer needs in the region. - Attend and participate at in-house quarterly regional staff meetings. - Coordinate and lead regional sales activities and direct ongoing regional team plans, focused on surgeons, audiologists, and hospital administration. - Maintain and expand current center base through ongoing support activities that include visits, training, education, communication, and appropriate technical/audio logical/customer service support. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision makers at all accounts. - Develop business and sales opportunities in existing implant centers. - Allocate necessary and appropriate company resources. - Perform annual and semi-annual reviews for Clinical Specialist and Operating Room Specialist. - Attend/support and/or present at appropriate local, regional, and national meetings that target our customers - otolaryngologists, audiologists, patient base. - Communicate and work with other company departments to provide support/solve field-related issues. - Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales talent aligned to regional and company goals. - Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development support. - Effectively lead the team through change, including new strategies, products, processes, or organizational shifts. - Serve as a two-way communication conduit between field teams and senior leadership. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. - Participation in professional courses or industry organizations is a plus. Requirements - 5–10 years of experience in audiology or a related field; cochlear implant center experience strongly preferred. - At least 2 years of external customer support or sales experience. - Prior people leadership experience (minimum 2 years managing a small team of 4–6). - Cochlear implant programming experience is a plus. - Direct or related sales experience preferred. Skills & Competencies - Strong leadership presence with a personable, persistent, and competitive style. - Proven ability to motivate and develop field-based teams. - Solid understanding of hearing aid and cochlear implant technologies. - Excellent presentation skills, with experience delivering sales, technical, or training content to small and large groups. - Strong business acumen and comfort with data-driven planning and analysis. - Fluent in English. - A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.
