Role Description This Lead Full Stack Engineer role requires advanced Japanese proficiency and lets you shape a versatile workflow automation platform, designing both frontend and backend solutions that boost operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with stakeholders in Japan, translating complex requirements into scalable systems while influencing architecture and driving impactful business outcomes. What You Will Do - Build, extend, and scale our internal workflow automation platform built on top of n8n; - Design and implement backend services and integrations to support complex automation workflows; - Develop and maintain scalable integrations with internal services, third-party SaaS platforms, and APIs; - Collaborate closely with stakeholders and pilot users in Japan, particularly within the Recruit domain, to ensure successful platform onboarding and adoption; - Customize workflows and platform capabilities based on user needs and operational requirements; - Contribute to platform architecture decisions and ensure long-term scalability and reliability; - Provide technical leadership and best practices for automation design, system integrations, and platform stability; - Support users by troubleshooting issues, improving platform usability, and ensuring successful adoption. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience; - Business-level to native Japanese proficiency, written and spoken — non-negotiable; - Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and users in Japan; - Strong experience with Node.js as a primary backend language; - Experience building, extending, or operating automation platforms using n8n; - Python as a secondary language for backend services, scripting, or supporting components; - Experience with React for building modern, responsive interfaces and integrating frontend applications with backend services; - PostgreSQL – relational database design, querying, and optimization; - MongoDB – experience with NoSQL data modeling and document-based storage; - Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs; - Experience integrating internal systems and third-party SaaS platforms; - Experience with Docker and containerized environments; - Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills; - Comfortable working directly with users and partners to understand needs and ensure successful platform adoption; - Ability to translate technical capabilities into practical solutions for business teams; - Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional and international environments; - Upper-intermediate English level.
