Job Description

Senior SQL Database Administrator

Iron Mountain

• Oversee the design, installation, and upgrade of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) while performing performance monitoring and tuning to ensure optimal speed, efficiency, and availability. • Partner with application developers, systems programmers, and analysts to create database schemas, estimate capacities, and resolve complex client problems. • Lead backup and disaster recovery implementations while adhering to strict security and change management policies to ensure systems compliance and data recoverability.

Job Requirements

  • At least five to seven years of in-depth experience in the design, administration, and support of Microsoft (SQL) Server database systems.
  • Strong knowledge of server-side development (triggers and stored procedures), SQL Always On Technology, Window Server Clusters, SSRS, SSIS and cross-platform networking in a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) environment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot production database issues, perform capacity planning, and manage client expectations in high-pressure, complex environments.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required for this role.

Role Description We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SQL Server Database Administrator with 5+ years of experience to join our 24x7 operations team. In this role, you will take ownership of the health, performance, security, and availability of mission-critical SQL Server environments. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, with a strong focus on Always On Availability Groups (AG).
