Counselor
Groups Recover Together
• Lead 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum. • Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework. • Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches. • Monitor member progress and document outcomes. • Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members. • Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree required.
- Preferred: Active behavioral health licensure including but not limited to: ADC, AADC, LPC, LICSW and associate level status with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
- Minimum two years’ leading groups in a SUD setting.
- High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
- Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
- Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
- Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.

Role Description As a bilingual 988 Crisis Counselor, you will be responsible for providing crisis intervention, emotional support, and resources to all help-seekers in English and Spanish via telephone. Qualifications - Fluency in required language for assigned program (Spanish). - Minimum of six months of relevant behavioral health experience, with one year of experience in crisis intervention or suicide prevention strongly preferred. - Possess a high school Diploma or equivalent. - Be 18 years of age or older. - Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to empathetically engage with any individual regardless of background, and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence in the process. - Exceptional at multi-tasking and time management, able to drive multiple pieces of work forward simultaneously while meeting all deadlines. - Demonstrated ability to effectively use web-based platforms, electronic documentation systems, and communication tools, with strong typing and data entry skills required to accurately document interactions in real time. - Have high speed internet with an active Ethernet connection, and a quiet/confidential workspace. - Be empathetic, flexible, and adaptable to varying situations. - Have open availability and flexibility to work within the program’s operating hours, including weekends and holidays. - Be reliable and able to adhere to schedules based upon program needs. - Complete yearly required continuing education trainings. - Have knowledge of all job specific skills including safety assessment, data collection, and triage. - Goal-oriented team player with strong experience working in large and complex systems. - A commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies. - Successfully pass our pre-employment screening, including a background check and live scan fingerprinting.
