Job Description

Senior Event Marketing Manager

Listen Labs

Role Description We're looking for a Contract Senior Event Marketing Manager to own and elevate how Listen shows up at events, from intimate dinners with researchers to our presence at various industry conferences. This is a high-ownership role for someone who loves the craft of bringing people together, sweats the operational details, and knows that a great event is felt long before and after the doors open. You'll partner closely with marketing, sales, product, design, and leadership to make sure every event tells a coherent story and meaningfully moves our relationship with the research community forward. Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end execution of Listen's presence at a slate of industry conferences over the contract period, including strategy, logistics, vendors, onsite, and follow-through. - Design event experiences (sponsorships, dinners, side events, brand activations) that attract the right audience, generate genuine excitement, and leave a lasting impression. - Partner cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, design, and leadership to ensure events ladder up to our broader campaigns and GTM goals. - Manage the operational backbone, e.g. timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, swag, staffing, run-of-show, with a level of polish that makes everything look effortless. - Capture learnings after each event and feed them back into how we plan the next one. Qualifications - 4+ years running B2B events, with a track record of owning events end-to-end. - Strong project management instincts. You build the plan, hold the timeline, and don't let details slip. - Comfortable in ambiguity and at a startup pace; happy to roll up your sleeves on the unglamorous parts. - Excellent taste. You understand how events feel, not just how they run. - Experience working alongside sales and marketing to drive pipeline and brand outcomes from events. - Bonus: experience in B2B SaaS, with researcher / designer / PM audiences, or with research conferences specifically. Requirements - 4+ years running B2B events. - Strong project management skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. - Experience in event design and execution. Benefits - Flexible work location. - Competitive compensation of $60-75/hr. - Potential to convert to full-time based on performance and business needs.

• Own the marketing agentic AI roadmap end-to-end—from opportunity discovery and business case development through pilot, implementation, scaling, and ongoing optimization in partnership with business stakeholders. • Identify, define, and shape the highest-priority AI use cases for marketing—translating real marketing needs into clear capability requirements, including inputs, outputs, constraints, and success criteria. • Define and apply frameworks for assessing the scaled value and impact of AI capabilities across the marketing organization. • Distinguish between highly controlled, workflow-driven AI use cases and more exploratory applications, guiding how each should be implemented and governed across the tech stack. • Act as the strategic bridge between marketing teams and internal/external technical partners—including IT, Commercial Operations, Sales, and Legal—to drive shared understanding and sustain execution momentum. • Pressure-test proposed solutions for feasibility, durability, and long-term relevance as AI capabilities evolve. • Stay ahead of AI innovations and identify how marketing thoughtfully adopts new capabilities, while maintaining a feedback loop with internal stakeholders to influence the marketing agentic roadmap direction where appropriate. • Design, document, and govern marketing processes and standards (work intake, planning, campaign execution, measurement, and tooling workflows), identifying processes that can migrate to AI and driving continuous improvement and consistent adoption across teams. • Establish and run AI project governance for marketing (intake, prioritization, resourcing, stage gates, risk/compliance reviews, and success metrics) to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value. • Own documentation and lifecycle management for marketing AI and operational processes (use cases, controls, data inputs/outputs, change logs, and performance reporting) to keep systems compliant and operationally sound. • Champion change management, enablement, and adoption for new agentic capabilities and process changes through training, communications, playbooks, workshops, and stakeholder engagement. • Shape AI-powered workflows that feel intuitive, purposeful, and trusted by marketers—designing for adoption, not just technical possibility. • Develop playbooks, enablement materials, and working examples that help teams understand how and when to use AI effectively. • Establish feedback loops with end users to bring the internal customer perspective to planning, implementation, and optimization. • Maintain a forward-looking view of emerging AI capabilities—particularly as agentic systems, skills-based orchestration, and new automation paradigms mature. • Exercise sound judgment about when new capabilities are ready to be tested and applied, bringing a long-term perspective to near-term decisions.
