Technical Sales Representative

Role Description The Technical Sales Representative drives growth within an established distributor network, expanding market share across the medical gas equipment and laboratory sectors. This role partners closely with design engineers, distributors, contractors, and end users—including healthcare facilities and laboratories—to develop strategic opportunities and exceed annual revenue targets. Success in this role requires a consultative, relationship-focused sales approach, along with strong initiative, organization, and communication skills. Location / Territory: Pacific Northwest Territory, Remote, home-based within the territory. Key Responsibilities - Achieve and exceed annual territory revenue targets - Build and maintain strong customer and partner relationships - Manage and support distributor network within the territory - Deliver product and application training to engineers, contractors, and distributors - Collaborate with design engineers and A&E firms on project specifications - Identify growth opportunities based on market trends and customer needs - Participate in industry events, trade organizations, and ongoing professional development - Travel regularly throughout the assigned region Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required) - Technical or engineering background strongly preferred - Experience with design engineers, contractors, or distributors is a plus - Familiarity with medical gas systems, compressed air, or vacuum systems preferred - Knowledge of NFPA 99, ASSE certification, or medical gas testing is beneficial - Strong communication, organization, and territory management skills - Experience using CRM tools to manage sales activity - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe tools Travel Requirements Approximately 25% travel within the assigned territory. Travel planning is self-directed, and expenses are reimbursed.
