Role Description This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home. Responsible for architecting solutions that achieve customer business outcomes within a defined technical domain and across the broader company portfolio (hardware, software, services, and as-a-service offerings). This role will be primarily focused on HPE Storage and Data Services, including platforms such as Alletra, Primera, Nimble, GreenLake for Storage, and associated data protection, data management, and hybrid cloud solutions, in combination with relevant third-party software and integration components. Develops and articulates compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals that align with customer business and technical requirements. Provides technical expertise to sales teams and customers through presentations, demonstrations, and solution workshops to drive customer engagement and mindshare. Management Level Definition: Applies advanced subject matter expertise in enterprise storage, data services, and hybrid cloud architectures to solve complex business challenges. Acts as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal stakeholders, influencing technical strategy and solution direction. Exercises independent judgment and may mentor junior team members. Responsibilities - Demonstrates deep expertise in HPE storage portfolio and data services, including primary storage, data protection, and consumption-based models (e.g., GreenLake), along with a strong understanding of the customer’s technical and business environment. - Develops and delivers compelling solution proposals aligned to customer outcomes, ensuring both business and technical requirements are met. - Quantifies business impact and articulates value (TCO/ROI), positioning solutions that align with long-term customer objectives. - Translates outcome-based requirements into scalable storage and data architectures, including integration with hybrid cloud and third-party ecosystems. - Provides technical leadership in customer engagements, including workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and executive-level presentations. - Tracks and applies emerging trends in data management, hybrid cloud, AI/ML data pipelines, and storage consumption models. - Builds strong relationships with customer stakeholders and partners, influencing technical decision-making and strategy. - Drives account planning and pipeline development by identifying opportunities for storage modernization, data transformation, and consumption-based solutions. - Produces comparative solution analysis across HPE and competitive offerings, highlighting differentiation and value. - Collaborates with partners and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensures successful knowledge transfer when required. - Provides mentorship to junior team members and shares best practices across the organization. Qualifications - 6+ years of presales experience, with a focus on enterprise infrastructure solutions. - 6+ years of experience in storage architecture and data services, including design and solutioning. - Proven experience in solution selling, technical consulting, and customer-facing roles. - Relevant certifications in storage, cloud, or enterprise architecture (e.g., HPE ASE/ATP, VMware, AWS/Azure) are strongly preferred. - Working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and solution design methodologies is expected. - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree preferred. Knowledge and Skills - Strong experience designing and delivering storage and data-centric solutions, including demonstrations and proofs of concept (POCs). - Deep understanding of HPE storage portfolio, hybrid cloud architectures, and consumption-based models (aaS/GreenLake). - Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and value-driven outcomes. - Strong knowledge of TCO/ROI modeling, financial justification, and business case development. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences. - Proven consultative selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and influencing customer decisions. - Strong understanding of data management trends, including data protection, AI/ML data requirements, and hybrid cloud integration. - Experience working with partners and ecosystem solutions, including when and how to leverage them in deals. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. - Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritize effectively within a sales pipeline. - Experience with CRM tools and account planning methodologies.
