Job Description
Licensed Psychologist – PsyPact
Within Health
• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders • Create and update individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances • Meet with patients regularly to provide services and treatment, and to adjust treatment plans as necessary • Coordinate and arrange for services needed for each individual client • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress • Conduct group therapy sessions according to program schedule • Involve and advise family members when appropriate • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality • Communicate regularly with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care • Attend weekly staff meetings to consult on individual cases • Attend weekly treatment team meetings to consult with clients about individual progress • Create weekly individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities for clients and communicate them to patients • Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients • Engage in ongoing advocacy work for mental health parity • Engage in community based speaking opportunities to increase eating disorder awareness • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements
- Active and unrestricted licensure as Psychologist, PhD or PsyD (PSYPACT Psychologist)
- Must be a fully-licensed therapist that is able to practice independently in the state(s) licensed
- Minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with eating disorders and disordered eating
- Must be empathic, genuine, self-aware and competent
- Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), experiential therapies, family therapy, mindfulness and/or other modalities is desirable
- It is required that the psychologist demonstrate understanding of and sensitivity towards issues of cultural diversity including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender expression, weight, and size
- Must not be opted out of Medicare
