This remote role requires travel and will provide discipline-specific technical review and oversight support to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and contract requirements. This is a part-time on-call position, with an estimated 200 hours of work within six months. - Review discipline-specific drawings, calculations, and specifications. - Review shop drawings and technical submittals. - Support resolution of technical issues and design clarifications. - Assist with code compliance and system performance reviews. - Support inspections, testing, and commissioning as required. Role Description AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Inspector to support a variety of transportation design-build projects throughout the White, GA area. This role will assist with inspection activities on roadway and transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring construction work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable standards. - Perform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions - Assist higher-level inspectors with field inspection activities and project support - Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job - Work under immediate supervision and report findings to senior inspection staff - Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements by performing inspection duties - Perform daily field inspections and maintain accurate, detailed inspection records - Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activities - Track quality assurance progress and document inspection results - Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers - Document project conditions through photographs and visual records as directed - Verify materials, equipment, and deliverables meet project specifications prior to installation - Communicate inspection findings and potential issues to project management and contractors - Monitor and report on safety compliance and adherence to project safety protocols Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent - Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. • Join a team of outstanding professionals and apply the latest technology to help clients solve their challenges • Function as a senior engineer performing design reviews and developing junior staff • Contribute to bids and proposals • Take responsibility on main client projects and ensure quality control on design packages • Conduct site visits to client substation facilities and occasionally travel for client meetings and events

• Lead structural engineering efforts for vertical infrastructure projects including barracks, hospitals, administrative buildings, and specialized federal facilities. • Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems. Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and calculations. • Work closely with architects, civil engineers, mechanical/electrical teams, and federal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of structural systems. • Apply design standards including UFC (Unified Facilities Criteria), IBC (International Building Code), ASCE, AISC, and other federal and industry codes. • Support proposal writing, scope development, and participate in federal RFP responses to help grow Olsson’s federal portfolio. • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, review work for quality and accuracy, and foster a collaborative learning environment.
