National Accounts Manager
Mast-Jägermeister US
Role Description This position is responsible for managing our business within a group of National Account customers (Walgreens, Circle K, 7-Eleven, Casey’s, etc.). This candidate develops overall strategic initiatives and builds custom business plans for the off premise national account sales channel in conjunction with the overall company off premise strategy. Candidate will work closely with MJUS field teams and distributor off premise National Account Managers. The right candidate will have the ability to foster key partnerships in off premise National Accounts that drive Mast-Jägermeister KPI’s. Accountable for profitably managing business results (volume, distribution, share, profit) for assigned chain accounts(s). Develops the account sales plan and facilitates its implementation. Ensures that products and programs are sold to and executed in chain retailers by coordinating the sales, distribution, and program execution through chain buying offices and MJUS system. Builds value-enhancing relationships with retailers through category management application, responsive problem solving and proactive relationship management. - Lead development and activation of commercial marketing programming across assigned customer base for Jägermeister and Teremana with management of advertising and promotional budget. - Drive sales, profit and brand equity growth through impactful, technologically advantaged programs which are grounded in shopper and commercial insights. - Deliver custom plans that drive long term brand building opportunities for Jägermeister and Teremana. - Effectively utilize company resources of consumer and shopper insights, sales data, POS, music, events, and other. - Work within framework of overall company strategy and account segmentation for the off premise. - Collaborate across teams consisting of marketing and field sales. - Pursue innovative and entrepreneurial solutions that lead to brand growth. - Accelerate the sales growth and planning for designated national chain operators driving KPI’s. - Track spending programs and utilize analysis tools to measure ROI and overall program evaluation. - Professionally represent MJUS at customer events and conferences, appointments and industry events related to off premise national accounts. - Identify, develop, and implement the use of fact based sales, POS, and category management tools for the off premise trade. - Identify business and brand development opportunities with customer base through special events that drive growth. - US domestic travel (approximately 50%) is required across customer base. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA a plus. - Minimum of 7 years’ experience in beverage alcohol and a minimum 3 years selling to National Account customers (Off premise and Convenience Store experience preferred). - Proven track record of successful sales, goal attainment, programming and partnerships in National Accounts. - Skillful in working across teams internally and externally. - Demonstrated budget and sales management skills. - Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms and marketing plans. - Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle to travel. - Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and industry guidelines governing your activities. Familiarity with Distilled Spirits Counsel of the U.S. (“DISCUS”) Code of Responsible Practices and beverage alcohol laws and regulations a plus. - Excellent computer skills across Microsoft Office and internal data systems. - Excellent time management and administrative skills. - Strong presentation skills with proven written and oral communication expertise.
