Role Description The Microsoft Administrator II or equivalent is responsible for managing and maintaining the agency’s Microsoft-based IT infrastructure. This role includes overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 (O365), SharePoint, Teams, and Azure. The administrator ensures the secure, stable, and efficient operation of these systems by performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting tasks. Key responsibilities include managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure system integrity and security. Microsoft Administrator II collaborates with cross-functional IT teams to support various OCIO specific projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise to ensure Microsoft technologies are effectively integrated into the agency's overall IT strategy. Responsibilities - Managing and maintaining Microsoft-based IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Windows 11, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange, and Office 365. - Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of existing and future migrations of Microsoft technologies. - Performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure systems run smoothly and securely. - Managing user roles, permissions, and access controls to maintain a secure IT environment. - Collaborating with stakeholders to support various projects and initiatives. - Providing technical expertise and ensuring servers, endpoints, and Microsoft services are effectively integrated into NCUA’s overall IT strategy. - Monitoring system performance and addressing any issues that arise. - Implementing and managing security policies to meet NCUA baselines, executive directives, and security requirements. - Developing and maintaining documentation for system configurations and procedures. - Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff. - Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing. - Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Managing software deployment and updates through tools like SCCM and Intune. - Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems for proactive and reactive support. - Participating in on-call schedules and patch rotations to ensure continuous system availability. - Maintaining M365 Conditional Access Policies. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Seven years experience in relevant IT areas, including end user systems support, automated server builds, cloud-based deployments, and data center deployments. - Demonstrated experience in engineering, migration, troubleshooting, and support of the following technologies: Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Online O365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure. - Public trust security clearance. Preferred Skills - Microsoft (MS) Certified Solutions Associate or similar Microsoft certifications appropriate to the technologies listed above preferred. Soft Skills - Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail. - Team Work: Able to enthuse and maintain project interest. Comfortable working both individually and as part of a team. Prepared to challenge ideas within a group in a constructive way. - Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context. Excellent active listening skills. - Quantitative Management: Ability to determine process measures and track to determine process effectiveness and efficiency. - Results oriented: Able to drive things forward regardless of personal interest in the task.

As a supervisor, the role is to: - Supervise volunteer crisis responders through an online platform; - Ensure that people who use our service receive timely, high-quality support; - Support the text messaging service by taking conversations, in times of high demand, and in accordance with existing protocols; - Provide clinical support to assist volunteer crisis responders in crisis situations and make timely decisions to ensure the safety of those contacting us; - Liaise with emergency and child protection services as required; - Engage and support the volunteer crisis responder community through group conversations to motivate, thank, guide, etc.; - Work as a team with other supervisors, maintaining ongoing communication and collaboration; - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor degree in a field of support and/or health (social work, psychology, criminology, sexology, guidance, and other related fields); - Master degree in these fields or related field is considered an asset; - A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in crisis intervention and employee and/or volunteer supervision; - Good knowledge of mental health and ability to conduct risk assessments, safety plans, suicide, self-harm, addictions, etc.; - Knowledge of laws and services that affect the lives of Canadian children and youth; - Good clinical judgment and understanding of confidentiality role and limitations; - Ability to prioritize, make decisions in a crisis, communicate and work as a team; - Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment; - Bilingualism (French and English).
