Analytics Engineer

Calm

• Design and develop scalable data models that power our data products • Collaborate with key stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and data science teams • Contribute to and improve our dbt implementation and data models • Collaborate with partners across technical and non-technical teams • Support key decision makers about the state of the business • Participate in development, testing, documentation, and evangelism of core data models • Utilize analytical tools like Databricks, BigQuery, Airflow, Mode, and Tableau

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years in data science, data engineering or analytics engineering
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Solid experience with data modeling and analyzing large scale data with modern cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with dbt strongly preferred
  • Experience with data pipeline development tools such as dbt, Databricks, BigQuery, and Airflow
  • Experience with Tableau or similar Data Visualization / BI tool
  • Prior experience in Python
  • Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong relationship management and presentation skills
  • Experience contributing to data documentation and testing practices

Role Description Yamaha is seeking a motivated Digital Analytics Intern to join our Web Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data, digital marketing, and music. You will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Web & Digital Analytics to analyze performance across our digital platforms, helping shape our marketing strategies and enhance customer experiences. As a Digital Analytics Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on projects for Yamaha's musical instruments and audio/visual products. You’ll be involved in every stage of marketing projects, from concept to launch, and will gain valuable experience to enhance your portfolio. We seek an intern who is a genuine team member, eager to learn from our experienced team and contribute meaningfully. The ideal candidate brings authenticity and a strong desire to learn. We are recruiting for the following term: July 2026 – January 2027. This is a fully remote paid internship up to $16.90/hr. - Assist in the analysis of website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. - Assist in developing reports and dashboards on digital campaign performance, website usage, and customer engagement. - Contribute to the enhancement of data collection, tagging, analysis, and visualization practices. - Work on A/B testing and other experiments to optimize user experience and increase conversion rates. - Collaborate with Development and other cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
