Role Description This is a remote position based in Detroit, MI. Provide effective technical and design proposals to improve customer satisfaction and win new programs and new business. Key Accountabilities Include - Lead sales engineering activities to ensure accurate, timely, and high‑quality technical support to customers across multiple programs. - Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and translated into feasible designs. - Manage product development timelines and technical deliverables. - Drive effective technical communication with customers and internal stakeholders. - Ensure material and validation compliance to support production readiness. - Support customer satisfaction through quality and issue resolution. - Contribute to technology development, team capability, and continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities Include - Manage multiple program timelines, ensuring on‑time customer approvals for tools, designs, prototypes, and validation milestones. - Work closely with customers, Japan team, production, materials, and quality teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and feasible, manufacturable solutions. - Provide technical input, feasibility assessment, and solution development to support new customer opportunities and future programs. - Prepare and manage quality deliverables (PPAP, APQP, AAR, FTN) and support investigation and resolution of quality events with customers and internal teams. - Support benchmarking of competitor technologies and communicate emerging engineering concepts and capabilities to customers and YCJ. - Serve as a subject‑matter expert in manufacturing processes, materials, and design principles, while training and mentoring junior sales engineers. Role Description Yamaha is seeking a motivated Digital Analytics Intern to join our Web Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data, digital marketing, and music. You will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Web & Digital Analytics to analyze performance across our digital platforms, helping shape our marketing strategies and enhance customer experiences. As a Digital Analytics Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on projects for Yamaha's musical instruments and audio/visual products. You’ll be involved in every stage of marketing projects, from concept to launch, and will gain valuable experience to enhance your portfolio. We seek an intern who is a genuine team member, eager to learn from our experienced team and contribute meaningfully. The ideal candidate brings authenticity and a strong desire to learn. We are recruiting for the following term: July 2026 – January 2027. This is a fully remote paid internship up to $16.90/hr. - Assist in the analysis of website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. - Assist in developing reports and dashboards on digital campaign performance, website usage, and customer engagement. - Contribute to the enhancement of data collection, tagging, analysis, and visualization practices. - Work on A/B testing and other experiments to optimize user experience and increase conversion rates. - Collaborate with Development and other cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Qualifications - Must be a junior or senior from an accredited university OR have graduated within a year with a degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Music Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Communications or a combination thereof. - Must be able to work full time (M-F 8:30-5pm) during internship. - Experience with site analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). - Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - A passion for music and technology. Requirements - Experience presenting information to key stakeholders (a plus, but not required). - Familiarity with digital marketing channel tactics (e.g., CRM, SEO, CPC, Social) and measurement (a plus, but not required). - Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tool (a plus, but not required). - Experience with Google Tag Manager or similar tag management solution (a plus, but not required). - Knowledge of RegEx, JavaScript, SQL, or HTML (Elements/CSS/DataLayer) (a plus, but not required). - Familiarity with ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) tools (a plus, but not required). - Social media marketing and/or advertising experience (a plus, but not required). - Appreciation of music and sound (a plus, but not required).
