Inventory Accounting Analyst
GoodPop
Role Description GoodPop is seeking an Inventory Accounting Analyst to own the day-to-day tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory across multiple partners, including co-manufacturers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs). This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Supply Chain. You will ensure inventory accuracy, support financial reporting, and translate operational activity into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and comfortable working with large datasets and multiple data sources. - Reconcile inventory across all warehouse locations and partners (including La Brisa, 3PLs, and cold storage facilities) on a regular cadence - Partner with operations to validate physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies - Maintain and update inventory valuation and aging reports to support internal and external reporting (including Triton) - Review and reconcile inventory activity across all systems and data sources, including: - 3PL portals (e.g., Cold Port, Progressive Cold) - Weekly inventory reports from logistics partners (e.g., AJ Logistics, Lineage McAllen) - Identify and resolve missing or inaccurate transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of inventory data - Support month-end close by ensuring inventory balances are accurate and aligned with financial reporting - Analyze inventory variances, aging, and trends, and proactively flag risks or issues - Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen inventory controls and reporting accuracy - Maintain and improve inventory tracking and reporting tools (Excel, ERP, or other systems) - Analyze inventory trends, aging, and variances to identify risks or inefficiencies - Provide insights into inventory movement, shrinkage, and working capital impact - Build and refine reporting that supports decision-making across Finance and Operations - Proactively flag anomalies and recommend process improvements - Assist AR in tracking sales orders - Other tasks as assigned Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in inventory accounting, supply chain, operations, or a related field - Experience working with 3PLs, co-manufacturers, or multi-location inventory environments preferred - Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups; bonus if you have experience with data visualization tools) - Familiarity with ERP systems - Understanding of inventory accounting principles is a plus Requirements - Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple data sources - Naturally curious and proactive in identifying issues and solving problems - Able to balance transactional work with higher-level analysis - Strong communicator who can collaborate cross-functionally - Ability to work remotely: self-motivated, strong written communication skills Company Description GoodPop is a better-for-you frozen treat company on a mission to create delicious products using simple, organic ingredients.
