Role Description The Genetic Selection Lead provides strategic long-term genetic selection research, technology, insights, and marketing direction (3 – 5 year strategy) to Innvictis Seed product strategies in order to strengthen Innvictis Seed Solutions’ product portfolio. This role will support the Eastern Cornbelt: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Missouri. - Deliver genetic expertise and strategic development activities, including but not limited to: - Reviewing genetic libraries 2-3 years in advance of commercialization - Identifying genetic research plots in search of ideal genetic x trait combinations for the entire region - Staying ahead of and adopting new technology without significant risk - Assisting with training and positioning during the sales season - Develop national and regional product strategies in collaboration with marketing and sales management. - Provide product direction to the sales management team, including delivering consistent Innvictis messages and strategies. - Deliver market analyses, measurement, and product training that includes: - Prioritization of key opportunities - Identifying new markets and segments - Understanding competitive products and training - Provide key product training to Innvictis and SGS field sales and external customers. - Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and apply practical analysis to drive commercially relevant, market-focused decisions. - Facilitate the development and training of market and demand planning tools. Qualifications - Requires a MS or PhD OR substantial experience (>20 years) in seed industry in field/research and genetic evaluation positions. - 15+ years related experience and/or training. Requirements - Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for meeting the minimum requirements. - Requires >85% travel during the growing season. - Requires >70% travel in off-season training and discussing key genetic characteristics of each selection. - Must engage all 5 major seed genetic houses and work closely with their geneticists, breeders, and biologists to identify high potential lines 3-5 years before commercialization. - Must be an effective communicator and trainer in addition to strong biological skills. Role Description This role will provide administrative services and assistance to the Field Service team. Key Responsibilities - Actively communicate with the Plant Production Planner to maintain an up to date valid delivery plan. - Identify and resolve delivery problems in conjunction with the Plant Production Planner, Field Officers and Agricultural Manager. - Liaise with Simplot Harvesters regarding delivery details, harvesting requirements and conditions. - Maintain selected site databases, systems and records and ensure accuracy of information. - Maintain and update all other appropriate records and filing including list of Growers and Contractors details including but not limited to contracts, addresses, volume delivered against contract and other relevant information as determined from time to time. - Collect statistical data and collate team KPI’s to monitor team performance and compliance. - Analyze basic Field Service data for trends and developments. - Monitor, query and maintain Tracmap and Agridata systems. - Maintain a good rapport with raw product suppliers, delivery contractors and the community so that the Company’s position is respected and maintained. - Participate, convey information and contribute meaningfully to Field Service and Planning meetings and ensure continuous improvements are made to procedures and systems. - Develop Individual Performance Plans and participate in the review process. - Maintain paddock record sheet database. - Collect and collate supplier scorecards and Grower Performance Review information. Role Description Lead a team of people to manage, receive and store potatoes and other vegetables in Simplot’s potato and cool store storage facilities in a safe, environmentally compliant and cost-effective manner.
