Senior IT Database Analyst
Duke Energy
• Responsible for the creation of physical databases per design documentation as provided by database designers, architects and/or vendors to meet business requirements • Creation and execution of database backup and recovery processes • Ongoing database performance monitoring and tuning • Performs data optimization and access analysis • Performs data replication, movement, and/or manipulation to meet business requirements while adhering to enterprise guidelines and standards (or seeking exceptions when appropriate) • Responsible for executing database security and auditing processes • Responsible for database product installation, configuration, and administration • Responsible for reporting tools installation, configuration, and administration • Foundation in database access methods; including RDBMS and OLAP data sources • Development and execution of SQL report optimization • Development of data abstraction and metadata layer for end-user interfaces • Data Analysis report design, creation, execution, and analysis • Messaging software installation, configuration, and administration • Knowledge of XML, Java, and database access methods
Job Requirements
- Associates degree in Information Technology
- Minimum 6 years related work experience
- In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 7 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 8 year(s) related work experience
- Experience with Oracle 19c, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, multi-tenant, OEM, performance tuning, RMAN
- Experience administering Oracle and Linux
- High qualified candidates have experience with APEX, Exadata, Golden Gate, OCI and Oracle Patching
