Semiconductor Insight
• Serve as the Payroll Partner for U.S. payroll operations within Workday • Process and manage end-to-end payroll using Workday Payroll & Time Tracking • Ensure accurate payroll for a multi-state U.S. workforce, including local tax withholding • Perform and own payroll reconciliations, including: Adjustments and corrections from prior quarters • Validation of tax treatment and reporting accuracy • Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations and W-2 processing • Partner with internal teams and vendors (e.g., OSV/Workday) to resolve payroll tax issues and notices • Manage and resolve payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and escalations • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local U.S. payroll regulations • Interpret and apply complex payroll rules, including California wage & hour laws (overtime, meal/rest breaks) • Support payroll audits and provide required documentation • Contribute to process improvements and stabilization efforts during Workday implementation and go-live
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of U.S. payroll experience
- Workday Payroll experience required
- Strong knowledge of Workday Payroll & Time Tracking
- Proven experience processing multi-state U.S. payroll
- Working knowledge of: California payroll laws (overtime, meal/rest breaks)
- Local and state tax withholding requirements
- Experience with: Payroll reconciliations and corrections across quarters
- Year-end payroll processing (W-2s, balancing, filings)
- Handling payroll tax notices and agency inquiries
- Ability to work cross-functionally and resolve complex payroll issues
- High attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and reliable end-to-end payroll support for customers using HiBob's US payroll solutions. Acting as a trusted operational partner, this role ensures payroll processes run smoothly through proactive checks, expert handling of exceptions, and close collaboration with internal and external partners. The specialist plays a critical role in reducing customer effort, protecting employee pay accuracy, and upholding HiBob's payroll quality standards across every pay cycle. **Note: We will only consider candidates who can work EST due to business need ** Job Requirements Requirements - Experience in a Managed Services or Bureau environment - Demonstrable US payroll experience in a fast-paced, multi-client environment. - Strong knowledge of US payroll legislation, Tax regulations, and statutory payments. - Experience handling high-volume payroll processing with accuracy and efficiency. - Proven ability to optimize payroll processes and drive improvements. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify payroll discrepancies and anomalies. - Excellent communication skills to explain complex payroll matters clearly to clients and internal teams. - Experience using payroll software (bonus points for HiBob Payroll, Sage, Xero, or other cloud-based solutions). As our Payroll Managed Service Specialist, you will: - Serve as the primary contact for payroll processing and issue resolution within the Managed Services Bureau. - Ensure payroll accuracy through thorough reviews and compliance with statutory requirements. - Handle high-volume payrolls, maintaining efficiency and quality under tight deadlines. - Proactively identify process improvements to enhance the bureau's payroll service delivery. - Support new client onboarding, ensuring data accuracy for retrospective and parallel runs. - Assist in training and mentoring junior payroll team members. - Effectively escalate complex issues while maintaining clear communication with client.
