The Acuity Brands Internship Program is a 10–12-week experience (May – August, 40 hours/week) designed to develop high-potential candidates into marketing leaders through hands-on experiences that connect interns’ strengths and interests with the needs of the business. In addition to making an impact through your participation in key projects and transformative processes, you will have an opportunity to mentor and network with leaders throughout Acuity Brands. It is preferred for interns to only have one or two semesters left in their degree program, so they can be considered for our Leadership Program immediately following the completion of the internship. Our Leadership Program is a full-time, entry level rotational program that allows recent graduates to explore different areas within a functional area. These experiences allow young talent to grow their skill set and network within the company while figuring out what they are passionate about early on in their careers. The Facilities Category Intern will support the Indirect Sourcing organization by assisting Category Managers and Leads with day-to-day sourcing and operational activities related to Facilities. This role will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support sourcing processes, supplier management, reporting, and system administration while gaining hands-on experience in procurement best practices. The intern will contribute to initiatives that help build scalable, sustainable sourcing processes and will support contract administration, supplier coordination, and data analysis related to Facilities services, including maintenance, janitorial, utilities, repairs, and other site-based services. Key Responsibilities - Support Category Managers and Leads with Facilities sourcing initiatives, including data gathering, documentation, and process support - Assist with maintaining supplier agreements, contract records, and supporting documentation - Support communication and coordination between sourcing, facilities, and business partners - Assist with supplier onboarding and compliance tracking - Help manage and update sourcing systems and tools, such as GEP or similar platforms - Support reporting related to supplier KPIs, SLAs, and business reviews - Assist with tracking and resolution of invoice issues in coordination with business partners - Support purchase requisitions and sourcing activities in alignment with company procurement policies - Assist with preparation of SOPs, training materials, and process documentation - Support basic data analysis to identify trends, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities - Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Facilities Category team as needed Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools - Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly - Familiarity with procurement or facilities concepts is a plus, but not required - Availability to work during the internship term as defined by the business - Interest in procurement, supply chain, facilities management, or business operations - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Willingness to learn sourcing processes, contract fundamentals, and supplier management - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Travel Requirements - This position can expect to travel up to 20% within the USA Compensation and Benefits - The range for this position is $36,000.00 to $78,000.00.
