Role Description Note: This is a remote position with travel (25-50%) to support projects in the T3 (Mid-Atlantic) territory, primarily focused on T3 South, which includes the states of WV & VA. The Sr Staff Engineer will be responsible for the public safety design and implementation of solutions for Motorola’s ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies. We are looking for Engineers who are energized by delivering solutions that truly make a difference. The Sr Staff Engineer will work with a field team of Project Managers, Systems Engineers, System Technologists, Construction Managers, and Customer Service Managers, and will be responsible for leading technical aspects of the assigned project until system acceptance. Duties will include, but are not limited to: - Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul and WAN and CEN (Customer Enterprise) networks. - High level of customer and consultant interaction involving customer design reviews, customer witnessed staging and acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. - System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in both lab staging and field environments. - Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation. - Radio system licensing (FCC/Industry Canada). - Preparation of system fleetmap, encryption schema, and radio programming templates. - Live system cutovers and upgrades. - Complete system documentation. Qualifications - Radio Frequency Engineering principles. - Land / Mobile Radio Engineering principles. - Wireless & Wireline communications systems. - RFDS principles to include antenna and cable selection, transmit combiners, receive multi-couplers, and lightning protection systems. - P25 Land Mobile Radio terminology and two-way subscriber radio provisioning methods. - Experience with Motorola ASTRO 25 architecture is a plus. - Construction of remote communication sites to include: site selection, grounding, compound development, tower and shelter requirements. - Fortinet and Juniper firewalls, Nokia 7705 series routers, Juniper SRX/MX (Junos) series routers, HP/Aruba and Juniper switches. - Remote access using SSH, SCP, SFTP, RDP. - Knowledge with point-to-point Microwave systems, Microwave RF & Network design. - FCC licensing and frequency search. - Software applications integration, Application Protocol Interfaces (API) concepts, computer operating systems, and the OSI model. - Networking protocols and devices including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, SIP, RTP, SNMP, NAT, routers, switches, and stateful packet firewalls. - Knowledge of physical layer technologies, such as fiber, copper, and microwave connectivity. Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 3+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 4-7 years of engineering or technical experience. - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. • Support the deployment and ongoing operations of the Anthropic Claude platform across business units • Assist in building and testing prompts, scripts, and lightweight automations under the guidance of senior engineers • Help onboard end users and teams to Claude, providing hands-on support and answering questions • Log, track, and troubleshoot issues reported by users • Assist with testing and quality assurance of AI workflows and integrations before and after release • Document processes, user guides, and best practices to support enterprise-wide adoption • Collect and organize user feedback to help the team identify improvement opportunities

• Participate in feasibility analysis, estimating, planning, designing, developing, prototyping, implementing, quality assurance evaluation and modification of automated systems. • Define training requirements and assist with automated systems training. • Recommend solutions to enhance system functionality. • Support and design department project assignments and small system implementation. • Provide input to solution development efforts. • Maintain schedules. • Track information system resources for assigned projects. • Report on project timelines and document performance. • Develop work products, documentation of operational and business objectives, best technology capabilities and task level resource requirements. • Maintain project task plans, documentation and communications. • Other duties as assigned.
