Role Description This role has National Sales Executive – Freight (LTL/TL) at Sims Global Solutions. If you’re an experienced freight sales hunter who thrives on winning new business, this role is built for you. This is a high-impact role where your results directly shape our growth. You’ll sell with the support of a state-of-the-art TMS, a high-performing operations team, and a network of top-tier carriers — giving you the confidence to say “yes” more often and deliver for your customers. - Drive new revenue by identifying, prospecting, and securing profitable LTL and TL customers - Manage the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, onsite visits, proposals, and long-term relationship development - Use CRM tools to build and manage a strong pipeline of core and strategic accounts - Meet with customers face-to-face to understand their supply chain challenges and present tailored solutions - Collaborate with leadership on forecasting, business planning, and territory strategy - Partner closely with Operations to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional customer experience - Stay ahead of market trends and help customers navigate shifting capacity, pricing, and industry conditions - Maintain a strong presence in the local market through events, networking, and industry involvement - Consistently update CRM with accurate activity, notes, and account intelligence - Perform other duties as needed to support growth and customer success Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience - 4+ years of outside freight sales experience (LTL/TL strongly preferred) - Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain terminology - Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills - Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Competitive, self-driven mindset with a true hunter mentality - Ability to influence, persuade, and build trust with decision-makers - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms Requirements - Manage customer interactions (fostering relationships, customer calls) - Use CRM to identify, call and track prospects to gain core and strategic customer opportunities - Visit customers and potential clients - Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development - Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks - Effectively execute sales activities to meet or exceed daily, monthly & annual expectations - Work closely with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience - Consult with Client Leadership to understand their business challenges and supply chain goals - Develop tailored solutions that deliver value and support the Client’s business strategy - Prospect, plan, and conduct face-to-face visits with new prospective customers within Branch territory - Understand how external factors can affect market conditions and provide solutions for new market trends - Consistently update and manage client information in Sims Global CRM - Maintain a strong commercial presence in the local marketplace, participating or presenting at regional events - Coordinate with the Operations team to onboard new Clients to provide a seamless transition - Other duties or responsibilities as assigned Benefits - Multiple medical plan options - Dental & vision coverage - 3% retirement match - Paid time off - Onsite perks: full kitchen, 3,000 sq. ft. gym, laundry, and showers
