Role Description The Mid Data Analyst at Group 1001 will contribute significantly to our data capabilities by independently managing business intelligence and reporting and data visualization and dashboards. This role is essential for maintaining data quality and insights that drive our insurance and annuity business forward. This position requires 2-4 years of experience, working independently on defined projects to deliver team-level impact. You may have opportunities to mentor junior team members. How You'll Contribute - Independently analyze complex datasets to uncover insights that drive strategic decisions in policy pricing, risk assessment, and customer retention - Design and build interactive dashboards and automated reports that provide real-time visibility into business performance metrics - Collaborate with actuarial and underwriting teams to develop data-driven models that improve pricing accuracy and profitability - Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and product offerings - Mentor junior analysts on best practices in data analysis, visualization, and storytelling with data Qualifications - Advanced in SQL, Python, Excel, SQLServer, Snowflake, Tableau/Power BI/Sigma, Statistical analysis, Coalesce, Advanced statistics, A/B testing, and Data modeling - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field - Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred - 2-4 years of experience in data analytics or related field - Understand marketing funnel metrics (customer acquisition cost, click-through-rate, return on ad spend, churn rate) - Familiar with marketing data pipelines - Proven track record of independently delivering projects from requirements through implementation - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders and technical teams - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions Preferred Qualifications - Experience in fintech or D2C e-commerce organizations - Contributions to open-source projects or technical community involvement - Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices - Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences - Track record of continuous learning in cloud and data technologies Competencies and Soft Skills - Self-motivated with ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables - Strong problem-solving skills with analytical approach to technical challenges - Effective collaboration skills with ability to work across teams and functions - Clear communication skills with ability to document work and share knowledge - Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $115,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related skills, and experience.
