Role Description Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) seeks an Environmental Professional with a diverse background to help develop business and support the growth of environmental projects in GES’ Mid-Atlantic Region. This role can be located at one of GES’ offices in Odenton, Maryland, Richmond, Virginia, or Blacksburg, Virginia, or considered for fully remote or hybrid work within the local area. - Identify and grow new client relationships focused on sectors such as: - Industrial facilities - Power & utilities - Upstream & midstream oil & gas pipelines and terminals - Brownfields - Pharmaceutical clients - Law firms - Commercial clients - Support growth of select existing GES clients in these sectors. - Sells and secures contracts for GES services to clients. - Executes contracted work with assistance and management of GES staff and team members. - Applies industry knowledge to lead initiatives that support environmental service line growth, sales, program management, and project execution. - Supports selling and execution of services including: - Ecological services (wetlands, habitat surveys, threatened/endangered species, NEPA, Section 404 permitting/CWA, water rights, wildlife management) - Site investigation (due diligence, phase 2, soil/groundwater investigations, vapor intrusion) - Remediation (remedy selection, remedial design, environmental engineering, remedial construction, operations and maintenance) - Air quality services (air compliance, air emissions, permitting, Title V) - Water resources management - Civil engineering - Other areas of environmental consulting - Manages the development, negotiation, and administration of environmental related contracts. - Leads bid and proposal preparation for environmental opportunities, working closely with GES' operational and technical leaders. - Conducts sales presentations and informational seminars for potential clients. - Generates leads and develops new business opportunities through networking. - Requires local and overnight travel to attend client meetings, conferences, and events. Qualifications - Must work in a collaborative environment with other business development, sector, program, and operational leaders. - Team Player mentality is essential. - Willingness to travel as needed to support business needs. - A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field. - 15+ years of industry experience with 5+ years of experience generating leads, creating proposals, conducting sales presentations, meeting sales goals, and directing project work execution. - Must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills. - A proven record of accomplishment with client development and revenue generation. - Professional certification or license is a major plus (PE, PG, CPG, PhD, etc.). - This role can be full-time or part-time. • Receive, check and validate incoming tax documents (NF-e, CT-e, NFS-e) • Classify and record tax documents in the ERP system • Apply tax withholding rules (INSS, IRRF, CSRF, ISS, among others) • Work closely with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve document discrepancies • Support tax and accounting reconciliations • Assist with monthly tax closings • Support internal and external audits • Monitor updates to current tax legislation
