Cloud Engineer
Solvd, Inc.
• Design and implement scalable, secure AWS architectures based on client requirements • Assess current-state environments and propose effective cloud migration strategies • Build patterns and frameworks to support repeatable, high-quality delivery • Lead implementation of AWS services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, databases, and serverless • Troubleshoot issues during delivery and guide teams in operational best practices • Ensure performance, reliability, and security across deployed solutions • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solution designs • Act as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy, modernization options, and industry trends • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences • Mentor team members and contribute to internal learning initiatives • Develop documentation, reusable assets, templates, and best practices for future projects • Promote continuous improvement within Solvd’s Cloud Engineering practice
Job Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience across AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation
- AWS professional certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional
- Experience with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform or scripting with Python
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements including HIPAA or GDPR
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both business and technical stakeholders.
