Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer, Back End, you will play a critical role in building and scaling the systems that power Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes, two of Versant’s flagship direct-to-consumer platforms. You’ll develop services that support high-traffic, consumer-facing experiences—from ticketing and commerce to content discovery and movie insights used by millions of fans. You’ll partner closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing backend systems. This role operates in a fast-paced, Agile environment where strong technical judgment, collaboration, and ownership are essential. You’ll also contribute to architectural decisions, help evolve our backend ecosystem, and champion engineering best practices across services that must scale efficiently and perform under demand. • Work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi-layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments. • Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control. • Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications. • Perform project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance and quality control. • Support SharePoint development and geospatial integration between Microsoft Power Apps and geospatial system and software.

• Llevar a cabo el proyecto de principio a fin con un equipo multidisciplinar organizando el proyecto con Scrum y Kanban. • Desarrollar nuevas funcionalidades así como realizar refactors o mejoras incrementales en la APP multidispositivo (browser, tablet y mobile) y Control Panel (browser). • Utilizar tecnologías como PHP bajo el framework Codeigniter para el desarrollo de la API Vue.js con Vuex, CSS3 con preprocesador Sass y HTML5. • Usará jQuery para los evolutivos y mantenimiento de algúnos proyectos. • Trabajar con la API REST desarrollada por el equipo de backend. • Realizarás tus commits en Git sobre Github. • Presentar el proyecto en QA sessions donde tendrás feedback sobre la User eXperience y funcionalidad con el Product Owner. • Participará en sesiones de desarrollo en pair-programming con tus compañeros de equipo cuando necesites ayuda o para formar a otros compañeros. • Para las tareas más complejas, realizarás sesiones de Code Review (tanto con tu código como aportar a código de compañeros).
