Role Description The Global MSL Program Director will oversee a global team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to ensure strategic alignment with strategic objectives, driving effective communication of scientific data, and robust stakeholder engagement. This leadership role requires ability in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and operational execution to support clinical trial success, and achieve corporate goals. The Global MSL Program Director will demonstrate exceptional leadership and operational competencies while ensuring the practical application of Amplity processes and strategies. The Global MSL Program Director is the day-to-day point of contact. Key Responsibilities and Tasks - Leadership and Management - Lead and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons globally. - Strategic planning, performance management, regional awareness and expertise, data analysis, generation of metrics, material management, professional development, training, support, and execution of organizational goals and objectives. - Leading MSL teams in pre-launch mode, with a focus on operational excellence and people management. - Conduct meetings and individual coaching sessions to guide, support, and foster professional development and successful achievement of program strategic objectives. - Define clear goals and performance expectations for the MSL team, ensuring alignment with company objectives. - Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing actionable feedback and development plans to achieve maximum impact. - Scientific Engagement - Ensure MSLs build and maintain strong relationships with Principal Investigators (PIs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and other stakeholders. - Ensure high scientific acumen within the team to foster credible, high-level discussions with external stakeholders. - Oversee the timely, ethical dissemination of clinical and scientific information by MSLs, tailored to stakeholder needs. - Drive optimal trial performance by facilitating investigator engagement and ensuring collaboration with clinical operations teams within respective geographic regions. - Develop and execute field strategies and tactical plans for the Field Medical Team’s presence at medical and scientific conferences/meetings. - Ensure optimal trial performance through investigator engagement and excellence in collaboration and coordination with clinical operations within the geographic region. - Strategic Planning - Provide oversight on MSL territory plans to maximize clinical trial enrollment and engagement. - Develop and implement comprehensive field medical strategies in alignment with client’s goals. - Ensure the execution of MSL regional objectives and provide accountability for outcomes. - Gather and leverage field-based insights to inform strategic planning and corporate decision-making. - Collaboration and Communication - Represent the MSL team in internal cross-functional meetings and contribute to collaborative projects. - Coordinate the collection of medical insights and feedback from investigators, KOLs, and HCPs, sharing relevant information with internal stakeholders to refine medical strategies. - Foster effective communication channels between Field Medical Teams and other departments to ensure alignment on goals and objectives. - Building Processes and Ways of Working - Establish foundational processes for MSL team operations, including reporting mechanisms, performance metrics, and workflow optimization. - Develop and implement training programs and onboarding processes for new MSLs to ensure consistent operational excellence. - Document best practices, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability across all MSL activities. - Create effective feedback loops to facilitate continuous improvement and information sharing across regions. - Compliance and Reporting - Ensure all MSL activities adhere to relevant industry guidelines, regulations, and company policies. - Oversee comprehensive documentation and reporting of MSL activities and field insights. - Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes, adapting strategies accordingly. - Manage reporting, travel, and expenses for the global Field Medical Team. Qualifications - Candidates must hold a terminal degree such as an MD, PharmD, or PhD from an accredited institution. Those with a master’s degree who are credentialed and have demonstrated successful leadership experience as an MSL will also be considered. - Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech-related experience, with proven leadership success in managing MSL teams. - Prior experience as an MSL is strongly preferred. - Drug launch experience required. - Experience leading MSL teams in pre-launch mode. - Gastroenterology (GI), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), or Immunology experience is a plus. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with key external and internal stakeholders. - Deep understanding of clinical trial research and scientific data interpretation. - Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities. - Proven ability to present complex scientific information effectively to diverse audiences. - Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional initiatives and managing competing priorities. - Excellent team management skills including hiring, progressive discipline processes, coaching, and motivation. - Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, digital meeting platforms, CRMS and other data technology. - 60-70% of the need to travel ability. - Current valid passport needed. - Successfully complete all Amplity and Abivax required training. - Residence in the US required. - Valid driver’s license with safe driving record required. • Define and own the vision, business plan, and growth strategy for Willdan’s Building Optimization Solutions offering. • Translate the Assess–Improve–Sustain model into clear, standardized services and packages deployable across regions and markets. • Establish performance targets (revenue, margin, savings delivered, client outcomes) and report progress regularly to Regional Vice President for Rocky Mountain Region goals and Willdan leadership for additional national goals and KPIs. • Identify and prioritize target markets (K‑12, municipal, higher education, healthcare, commercial/industrial, water/wastewater) and align offerings with their internal goals. • Collaborate with other business development managers & divisions regularly to ensure cross-collaboration is happening to sell greater Willdan services, including comprehensive design-build and ESPC opportunities. • Develop and maintain the Building Optimization Solutions portfolio, including VPW (Ventilation, Power, Water) optimization, HVAC system optimization, and integration of renewable energy and advanced energy storage solutions. • Ensure offerings deliver on the core value promise: healthier environments, lower cost, and more reliable operations by optimizing existing systems first, and recommending equipment upgrades when they make financial and operational sense. • Incorporate relevant standards and guidance (e.g., ASHRAE 62.1, 241, wildfire smoke/IAQ guidance) into practical methods, tools, and playbooks for project teams. • Define criteria for when to prioritize optimization versus planning HVAC equipment replacements and upgrades. • Partner with national business development and account teams to position Building Optimization Solutions & turnkey (design-build or ESPC) with existing and new clients. • Lead key client conversations to understand internal goals (e.g., sustainability, resilience, cost control) and frame tailored optimization roadmaps. • Develop proposal content, pricing approaches, and sales tools that clearly articulate the Assess–Improve–Sustain journey and associated value. • Represent Building Optimization Solutions at client meetings, conferences, webinars, and industry events. • Provide leadership and oversight to cross‑functional teams delivering Assess, Improve, and Sustain scopes. • Develop project in accordance with WPE process and guidelines.
